I wouldn't say he was a cancer per-say but he definitely wasn't a team player. Also, no problem Red_Alert, I'll be releasing the defensive board soon.

sort of OT, but do you think Finnin can come in and start right away??

I'm more inclined to think no, and that we'll have a bit of trouble at OT this year

He's talented, very good with his feet. But no. He won't start right away, there's almost no way. If he had made it for spring I might give him a shot but I seriously doubt he starts right away. I do think he figures into the rotation which will help. Our problem is when we face those 3-4 defenses with speed rushers off the edge our tackles can't handle them... look for more TE delay routes where they chip the speed rusher then delay in the flat or over the middle in the seem.

Nut's football analyses are satisfying my Husker addictions this morning. Keep 'em coming. *ties off arm, smacks vein*

Speaking of our TEs.... what is your projected fall depth chart at that position?

Mine's a bit different... I think Jake Long has a strangle hold on the first starting spot and Sam Cotton had a huge spring but I'm a HUGE Cethan Carter fan and I think he can come in and blow the doors open right away. This is how I see it:

Jake Long, Sam Cotton -or- Cethan Carter

David Sutton/Trey Foster/Jared Blum

You heard much about Sutton? I haven't

Sutton had a good spring, but I'd put him on par with Foster and Blum at the moment. Sam Cotton looks to be the real deal but he's young yet. Cethan Carter is a physical specimen.

So guesstimation/projection for the fall is 1- Long 2- Cotton 3- Carter?
Bueno. Also, do you think Greg Hart gets a RS?

Oh yeah... Hart is not physically ready for B1G play.

Other than Finnin (and probably Kondolo), do you think any of the new OLs (Johnson, Knevel and Hannon) have a chance to contribute this year? Or do you think they get the RS?

I'm guessing they all redshirt.. we're pretty well established at OG for Hannon to play, and I don't think Knevel will be quite ready

Do you think Johnson will eventually wind up at OG or does he have the mobility to play outside? I think he played both in HS. He's pretty lean, but I don't know much about his footwork.

no idea on that one.. I'd assume OG first

Also, regarding the mobility to play outside.. we need our OG's to be pretty mobile, and is why I LOVE Hannon at OG.. he's one of my locks of the class

No doubt, but the OTs still gotta have that fantastic first drop stop on the rush.... and of course be able to do the truffle shuffle.
