We have to start running the football, we can't just continue series after series to count on Golson to convert third downs passing one after another . Bring back some power football and give them something to think about other than just pinning their ears back and blowing in there on Golson. We have the backs to do this even with this line.

UNC's DB's are very aggressive and are jumping routes. Problem is, the O line is not giving him time to throw double moves.

They don't have to respect the play action when we don't actually establish the running game.

We had one successful screen play fairly late into the first half. They have to come back with that play.

This should be a cake walk. Bad Job by Golson. No More Heisman talk with him.

I'd like to see the D step it up in the 2nd half.

Been saying this all damn year! For some inexplicable reason, our over-thinking HC is obviously allergic to this successful play. Why he is soooo reluctant to use it is just beyond befuddling. But, then, we're talking about Brian Kelly.

Golson has very happy feet and he holds the ball too long IMO. A lot of times the play isn't there, but he waits too long to bail on the play and scramble. Then it's too late because the defense recovers and takes the running lanes away. He goes into the pocket too much. I'd like to see him get outside more. He goes inside, then when he decides to take off its too late.

It's the one play teams consistently give us. They over commit to take our edges away.

Not only is it successful and plays into our talent, getting the good runningbacks the ball in the open field but it also protects your quarterback when you let the defense in only to toss it over their heads. It accomplishes two very important things at one time. It simply takes away the defense's aggressiveness.

1st half was a complete red ass:

- Mistakes & turnovers haunting us again.
- NO PRESSURE on the QB ... NONE. Heels QB has all damn day to throw.
- Play calling very suspect ... as usual.
- Getting outplayed on the line
- Refusal to run screens

I am starting to wonder if the hits he's taken have had a cumulative effect and he doesn't want to go out. But standing in there and he gets hit more. Counterintuitive.

We should be wearing out Bryant, Folston and McDaniel and mix in some Koyack along with a few roll outs by Golson.

EG didn't use to hesitate to take off. I gotta think BK has something to do with his hesitating in the pocket ... and that just restricts him from doing what he does best, IMO.
