It really hurt to have all those key defensive guys out today. You can see what we miss without Tuitt, Williams and Day in the lineup. Schwenke played a good game though.

Day started, he got hurt. I think the long term risk wasn't worth it. A lot of guys went down with injuries from getting cut all day. Schwenke got hurt, Councell got lit up. Alex Flanigan said Calabrese showed her all the bruises on his knees from getting cut by Air Force. Two weeks of that has taken its toll.

I hope it was worth it in that Nix, Williams and Councell are ready to go next week, then get healthy for what will be a tough BYU game.

I haven't seen much of Pitt this year, but they looked better I think than in recent years, still not good, but not total garbage either. Watching them against Ga. Tech now, offense looks ineffective, but defense is decent enough to give us a hard time. They solved Tommy Rees last time we played in Pittsburgh. I think we will have to be flawless to have a chance against BYU, and we rarely play well on senior day, too much pagentry and not enough focus on the game. Stanford, we'll have to be flawless and maybe a little lucky. At this rate though, the style points are lacking I think to get us to #14 and an at large BCS berth.

well then ASU shouldn't have a problem finding 85 student athletes to beat Notre Dame with an enrollment of 8,475.

How does enrollment equate to relevance? Anyways, a win is a good. I will be at the Pitt game next week so hopefully we come on victorious again.

Maybe.. ASU looses a lot. But we've been unstoppable at home this year.. Haven't lost a game in Tempe in over a year and just embarrassed #20 Washington.

You've played Sacramento State, Wisconsin, USC, Washington, and Colorado at home, when you venture away from Tempe you lose (except to Washington State). That isn't very impressive as Wisconsin and Washington were overrated.

Defense was terrible. However, there is a lot of injuries and it is a lot to ask stopping cut blocks 2 weeks in a row. It was really stupid scheduling Air Force and Navy back to back

Watching the FSU Miami game, while I am glad FSU is exposing those pretenders in Coral Gables, I am still holding out hope that Bane shows up by the end of the 4th quarter and implodes the field.

all im gonna say is to hell with cheap a@@ cut blocks....other than that navy gave the irish all they can handle. If you dont think cut blocks take tolls on players listen to mayock's statement about nd defensive players still nursing bruises from the air force game. Then enter navy a team that runs the trip option better than all teams other than maybe GT. would have liked to see 8 in the box more often then we did and not sure why we didnt.

University of Phoenix already has almost 250,000 undergrads. Yet you still couldn't beat us.

You know what, special teams is a concern here. They've had good returns and good field position to start.
