ALL OF THEM, throw out the entire NFL rule book and make the NCAA rule book the new NFL rule book.

The reason the NCAA rules work is because of the difference in ability. If you did change the rules in a league where the ability is more equal, QBs would never complete a pass...ever. Corners would beat the crap out of receivers all the way down the field and then screen them when the pass was coming in. Then the pass rush would obliterate million dollar QBs because they have no one open to throw to. I can bet that owners would never want their investments being obliterated on a regular basis.

Let's not forget the huge rule difference of ONLY NEEDED TO HAVE ONE FOOT in BOUNDS to make it a legal catch

Good point forgot about that.

Points per game doesn't mean it's more offensive league. As we've discussed here the main reason for the high points per game is talent disparity. The same can't be said for the NFL. take the college rules and put them in place in the NFL and you'll see scores lower drastically, and you know it.

So Peyton running the hurry up with the clock stopping after first down and wider hash marks giving him more room to work with would cause him to score less points? Hmm I would love to see that

it use to be that way, before 2004 then the NFL started enforcing illegal contact I'd personally like to see it go back that way. A QB is just like any other player on offense and can be hit.

Damn....good point. that does make it easy on the offense, but most agree it's still a talent disparity issue.

A talent disparity between Georgia and LSU caused their 44-41 game? A talent disparity between Texas A&M and Alabama led to their 49-42 score?

And the one foot in bounds rule would allow him to use even more of the sideline. Shoot, you know how Denver didn't face a 3rd down during their 3 touchdown drives in the 3rd quarter against the Eagles? With college rules Denver probably wouldn't have even faced a second down.

You want to see franchise QBs obliterated on a regular basis? You have just confirmed that you are either a moron or this is a troll thread only.

along with the other rules yes, why do you think Peyton never won a championship at TN, yet his back up did the next year?

Because the TEAM was better the next season.

before 2004 franchise QB's weren't getting "obliterated' so i see no reason why now that would change.

or maybe teams got worse? Doesn't the team include the QB?

Of course the team includes the qb. I'm saying the reason that Tee Martin won a championship isn't because he's a better qb than Peyton Manning, but because the rest of his team was better than the one that Peyton Manning played on.

Yes, they were, there just wasn't anyone there to check them for concussions, they would just go back out and hope they didn't get hit again.

It got better. Al Wilson became was a first team all American. Travis Henry and Jamal Lewis had much bigger impacts as sophomore's than they did as freshman. They were just a better team.
