If we move to February, I think that's going to be in the middle of the Christmas Season which also will be moved to February. AND, I think the Summer Olympics are scheduled for February along with the end of the 2019 NBA season.

This will be a blow to the economy if no college football is played

I've been spending the better part of my 40's bulking up for this sort of event. I figure I can go a good 6-9 months on my on-board reserves. I should be able to extend that to a good 3 or 4 years by getting the odd protein shake or pan fried Vegan.

I'll be surprised if there are students on a majority of campuses tbh.

The sad thing is, I have spent a ton of time learning new concepts for football season. Going to be ticked if I have to wait a full year.
If you like concepts. Recommendation of an underrated channel

Really been digging into the RPO game. Love it, and I think it truly can be run at any level if the terminology and concepts are made easily accessible for the players.

According to NBC Sports Boston, the NCAA is having conference calls with conferences and Board Members and has been considering canceling the entire 2020 football season. Unless a vaccine or curing drug can be found by August 1, 2020, most schools will not be able to practice and share locker rooms and showers. Some schools are already saying that classes will not start until January 2021. For those schools, all athletics are over until 2021 and includes organized practices for all sports.

The Big Conferences are against it, but the Government can and will prevent fans from sitting within 6 feet of each other and could make it a 3 seat distance between people. 67% of the stadiums would be empty. Can't see how anyone could get around exchange of bodily fluids and potential spread on the field of play.
1. There isn’t going to be vaccine or cure by August and anyone that thinks so it’s nuts.
2. Want to see the major conferences ditch the NCAA let them try this shit.
3. There will be some type of season but most likely modified and moved.

Yeah that's all fine. I want college football. But as I mentioned in another article, the schools are afraid of getting sued big time if there's a virus outbreak on the team.

Yeah, that's the real deal. Schools want that money but don't want to dish it out in a potential lawsuit either. Since these are "student-athletes" I doubt that the players sign a waiver since they really ain't getting paid now that the recruitment is done.

I think the NFL can do this, since they do pay their players and can have them sign a consent/waiver form.

Interesting times.

Quick Question, if the 2020 season is indeed pushed back to the spring of 2021, does this mean the recruiting class of 2021 will be eligible to play immediately if they are Early enrollees? Or will they be allowed to practice but cannot play games until the regular 2021 season starts in the summer? I bet a school like tosu would want it's two top RBs in 2021 to be eligible to play in a postsponed 2020 season next spring.

1 - I tend to agree, but it is possible
2 - No one is going anywhere. The major conferences will be on board with the decision.
3 - It's up in the air at this point. They may just cancel it.

I think they're going to have to decide well before August. The games start in August, which means most teams will likely start summer conditioning in late July. And likely move to campus well before that. I'd expect a decision to be made sometime in June.

I drove my grandson to James Madison University last July for a recruiting camp visit and three day camp for HS seniors. The entire football team was on campus and working out at 8:30 in the morning on one of the practice fields. Their first game was September 4th.
We talked with one of the players and he said that the team went home for three weeks when classes ended and were back on campus in mid-June. Most schools will have their first games the first Saturday in September because most schools don't start classes until the day after Labor Day. Some schools do start earlier because they end classes the second week of December and finals are the first week.

I have a feeling that education is going to get a real close look-see by alumni and boards at schools. Football may be a money maker for them, but the classes that cost the school money and have three students attending per semester just might not have a place when the doors are reopened. Especially if there a professor making $120K and he's got a graduate assistant teaching the class while he's on a research project in Bimini for three years.
