According to NBC Sports Boston, the NCAA is having conference calls with conferences and Board Members and has been considering canceling the entire 2020 football season. Unless a vaccine or curing drug can be found by August 1, 2020, most schools will not be able to practice and share locker rooms and showers. Some schools are already saying that classes will not start until January 2021. For those schools, all athletics are over until 2021 and includes organized practices for all sports.

The Big Conferences are against it, but the Government can and will prevent fans from sitting within 6 feet of each other and could make it a 3 seat distance between people. 67% of the stadiums would be empty. Can't see how anyone could get around exchange of bodily fluids and potential spread on the field of play.

I was afraid this was going to happen. A shame for the players. I can't say I'm shocked though.

If teams can't start practicing in early July, the season will have to be scaled back anyway. I see the season slowly slipping away.
Damn, there goes Cupcake State (aka BSU) and CFU changes of a natty [snicker snicker].

My grandson has been running 2 miles every morning at 6:00 am to get ready for startup on August 13. He goes to a local HS field, runs two laps, does four sets of the bleachers and then runs 20 pass routes and finishes with a walk around the track. He's freaking and he works even harder when he this stuff. I told him to reel it in because there's nothing except a cure that will change anything.

Then he really got pissed because I told him that if classes don't start until January, he best find a job at McDonald's or Taco Bell. Get used to to the way life will be once your college days are over.

He's rehabbing a torn ACL and Meniscus. He tore it last July and had it replaced with a hamstring Ligament in August. He hasn't been able to run a 4.5 40 but he has run a timed 4.7. That was last month and he was just starting to run. Been on the isometric machines since January. The surgeon wouldn't clear him until he exceeded the rehab tests. He did that the first time in December.

The sad thing is, I have spent a ton of time learning new concepts for football season. Going to be ticked if I have to wait a full year.

Yeah that's all fine. I want college football. But as I mentioned in another article, the schools are afraid of getting sued big time if there's a virus outbreak on the team.

I would rather play a team worth the price of admission. Might as well be playing an FCS team.
