NBA owners alter Finals format to 2-2-1-1-1

NBA owners voted unanimously Wednesday to change the Finals format to 2-2-1-1-1 after nearly 30 years of a 2-3-2 format.

I like this move, I had been hoping for this for sometime now

The Pissed-ons also did it in 2004.

Good to see they are changing back the format. Now if only they could change the first round series back to a best-of-five. Whoever's genius idea to make it a best-of-seven should have been fired immediately. For one, it makes the Playoffs too predictable for the casual fan. Teams that have no regard for their own damn budget (Miami and the Lakers) shouldn't be rewarded in that sense. Second of all, it keeps teams from dogging it during the regular season knowing they're only guaranteed one home Playoff game, something the Kevin Garnett-led Celtics were notorious for.

Hahaha no, I will not associate such a terrible disease to such a wonderful change in the rules!!!


However, GO BREAST CANCER AWARENESS!!!


...Even though heart disease causes more deaths each year than all of cancer combined, in both men and women. So I think there should be an obesity epidemic awareness year pretty much every year in both Mexico and US. Being over weight even increases your chances for a few cancers, one being breast cancer.

About time regarding the 2-2-1-1-1. Never cared for the other format. The question will be how many days off will be given between the last couple of games. They'll want to make sure teams have ample time to travel and recover prior to playing the next game.

from what i read it there will be an extra day off now between games 6 and 7 so instead of 1 day of rest there will be 2
