That he wasn’t the 6th or 7th best Qb in the draft. Gms and coaches likely wanted to draft him but the owner said no. If it’s about talent and etc then he goes 3rd round at latest. There were other non football factors that led to this

That's just it, it's not just about talent. It rarely is...especially with quarterbacks. QB's are typically considered leaders, so teams are looking for a guy who can do that...with what has come out about his interviews...looks like he's lacking in that department.

When Kyler Murray was drafted, he apparently had a couple of bad interviews and at least a couple of teams literally took him off of their draft boards.

It didn't hurt him as he was still the top pick...but he also won the Heisman, the Davey O'Brien, the Manning award, AP College Football Player of the Year and was 1st team All-American just to name a few. Shedeur has none of that.

My god that is dumb

Probably...but at least Rogers has a proven track record of being a top NFL QB. Shedeur is an unknown quantity who apparently manages to piss people off in interviews. lol

And possibly did so on purpose with the teams he didn’t want to play for.

No there is something behind this clearly. You don’t go from clear #2 qb and top 5 pick to now 4th qb (maybe) and possible 3rd round pick. It ain’t making sense
agree.....it was not just his film as his tape I'm sure was better than most and worthy of no worse than a day 2 pick if not sooner.

Guess I hope everyone got it wrong?

Everyone had him as a day 1 grade or very early day 2.

That was before he proceeded to tell literally every team either not to draft him or he was smarter than their coaches.

No doubt. Point being talent is there. 10 cent brain or trying to emulate dad? I dont think we ever heard he was dumb. Obviously he approached this all wrong.

I did hear the reports from a couple (as I'm sure you did) about his terrible interviews with them. and maybe there were more......but have to say the few times I have heard him speak didn't come across as a punk (but the "Legendary" room doesn't help).

It was definitely his last comments that sunk him for good. Coupled with apparently taking phone calls during some interviews? Which is fucking wild

From what has come out, he interviewed poorly and may have intentionally "thrown" interviews with teams he didn't want to play for. Those are red flags.

Also, even without the bad interviews, unless he's a starter, he's going to be a distraction and there isn't much NFL coaches hate more than distractions. It's why Tim Tebow couldn't at least be a backup...don't want fans chanting his name every time the starting QB makes a mistake. Can't have more reporters at the backups locker than the starters.

Having said that, he has since come out and said that he regrets his pre-draft behavior. Hopefully, he has learned his lesson and will work hard for your team.
