USC retired Caleb Williams jersey at the end of last season because he won the Heisman. But they've only retired the numbers of Heisman winners...so that's the standard there.

Apparently, Colorado has different criteria because, out of their now 6 retired numbers, only 2 have won the Heisman (Hunter and Rashaan Salaam).

Yeah UConn has retired non npoys in basketball

Last number retired was two time national champion Tristen Newton (did you know that university of Connecticut won back to back national championships in April 2023 and 2024?)

All Americans are automatic

But in the practice facility they also have a wall for all lottery picks to be honored

Guy I was listening to other day (Mark Miller, I believe), FWIW seemed certain Manning wont come out after next season. Said his family believes a QB needs 25 starts in college.

I guess we will see. He is likely the top prospect if he comes out. Hard to improve upon that draft rating.

NFL guys also like to see 25 starts, too......but no doubt possible could still be #1.

Not needing the money obviously changes things a little for him.

That's the Ohtani effect, plus 2 of the biggest national fanbases. If it's Cleveland vs Philly on SNB they ain't getting those numbers.

But still, a good sign for sure, and proof MLB isn't 'dying'
