Carr is no different than the majority of QB's in the NFL. You have a few elites (he's not there) and you have a few "how the hell is this guy in the league" guys (that's not Carr either).

Put a good team around him, give him some weapons and he's fine. Put trash around him...not so much.

Kamara with 39 targets in 4 games this season now lets compare that to Cmac who is similar back when it comes to pass catching skills

Mccaffrey with 27 targets in 6 games and only 1 game with y targets (Kamara with 3)

One was 33 and already regressing the other was 26 and his last season was an elite level season. They also did not have Doc Brown's Delorean to know he'd get hurt this season.

The 33 year old's deal was pretty much 4 years and $40 mil per guaranteed. The 27-year-old was 5 and $46 mil.

so...yes...it is debatable.
