Da fuck? From brownswire.

Report: No Watson suspension negotiations happening, more details leaked (7/7/2022)

Thursday PFF's Mike Florio is saying the NFL & NLFPA aren't negotiating towards a settlement. Florio is reporting, along with Dan Garziano, that the NLFPA is pushing for no suspension.
But is it up to the NFLPA? From my understanding, their purpose is to back the players. It's up to Goodell if Watson is suspended and for how long, where the NFLPA becomes more reactionary.

o nothing his his fault? Four years and no real improvement in any categories but it's not on him.

Find where I said that. I said he has a tendency to get reckless...which is true. I said that Baker has been in better situations, which is also true and I said that his coach from the Jets said that they did a poor job developing him.

How about you address what was actually said?

Not sure of all the smaller details.

I think Mayfield's better than Darnold. That's my point. And through four seasons the numbers say that as well. You can disagree all you want.

He might be. I don't think we have seen the best of either of them. I don't think either will ever be a star, but I think both can be better than what we have seen.

As I've said, Baker may be better, but I don't think he's better enough that he can be expected to win the job in training camp given the advantages Darnold will have going in. Plus, it's not like Darnold is going to just let Baker come in and take his job. So I expect he'll have a strong camp.

Rhule is said to be on the hottest seat in the NFL right now. Because of that, he can't take any chances. So my guess is that with the advantages Darnold will have in camp and him responding to a direct threat in Baker, he'll be the starter at the start of the season.

But, Darnold has shown that he has a tendency to get more reckless as the season goes on. So I could see him eventually putting a game or 2 in jeopardy, Rhule replacing him with Baker and if Baker really is better...he won't give the job back.

If you’re the NFLPA that’s where you have to start. Even coming with saying a single game is in order could be read as an admission of guilt. They’ll make the argument and then as you say the commissioner will make a decision. Then the NFLPA appeals for a reduction. But this is absolutely where they need to start or it’s just malpractice.

I think for the judge to make her decision it's simple as to how credible she finds the 5 women who testified. OBJ, too, but more about the women. what is most odd if true is the NFL did not mention force, coercion, etc. in the hearing. Makes me at least think no suspension is possible....but I doubt it.

You realize Goodell can overrule anything she does right?

While I've never seen you admit you are wrong, you are wrong. Goodell can do nothing if she does not give him any punishment.

In addition, while the NFL could appeal any suspension and Goodell could change it don't you think it would be a bit of a bad look for him to overrule a federal judge he helped appoint in her first case with his own biases?

Goodell is in no way obligated to accept her ruling.

he is if no suspension is handed down. Not sure why link wont show up, but from Bleacher Report today....

"The commissioner can exercise some authority over the length of a suspension if the disciplinary officer deems one to be worthy. The officer's verdict becomes final if he or she doesn't believe a suspension is warranted."

Griner refuses to go out for the national anthem citing bigotry.

Goes to Russia- where gay rights and racism is outright terrible- and takes every single cent she can make. Has no problem playing for Russians that are notoriously anti-gay and racist and scoops up as much money as possible.

gets imprisoned for bringing a bunch of THC cannisters- and begs the US to help her.

the hypocrisy is just so thick its ridiculous.

You’d do the same thing if you were sitting in her shoes. You’d exhaust every avenue to get out of there if you could. You should thank her for providing you your little shot of self esteem for the day.

Gotta say, I agree with Wiggy on that one.

She has been playing over there for 8 years, so she can't that she didn't know better.

Don't go to other countries, break their laws and then expect to get treated like you would in America.

While I agree that any US citizen would exhaust every avenue if they were in the same situation...it also doesn't make begging the very country she has shit on for help any less hypocritical.

I hope she gets released soon and comes back with a little more appreciation for this country.

Of course.

Very dumb of her to be over there in the first place, let alone with an illegal substance.

Yet still, Wiggy talking like she deserves to be in this situation. She is being used by Russia as a political pawn.

Nobody deserves that.
