As a #1 WR OBJ is washed. I doubt anyone thought his career as a potential productive receiver was over.

Yeah, folks are trying to act like he's still a #1 today...much of his production was because of the attention the Niners were paying to Kupp.

Really thought a lot more attention was going to Baker yesterday for a guy who didn't even play. Plenty of people to blame for what went on here with OBJ and he is near the top of the list. Clearly he wanted out and made sure it happened......and, yes, having a true, elite #1 WR helps him out a ton. Good thing for him he realized he's just not that guy anymore. Hell, he's not even their #2 if Woods was playing.

Not sure it got national play but I know many Browns fans were crying about Burrow. I mean, the kid played well and certainly played a huge role in his team going to the SB. But I am 100% certain had the Browns made it the exact same way his critics would have said he was saved by the defense and/or the kicker in every game.

Never mind it's not like the Browns passed on him. Allen? That's another story.

He'll be next season's David Culley......lasts 1 or 2 seasons and they looking for another HC.

And, when that is your first real NFL coaching job, you lack the resume backing you that makes future teams more likely to give you a second chance.

If they witnessed his clock management against the Browns that might give anyone pause about hiring him to be a HC again. These were not the usual screwups we see every week either.

I am sure he was bad, didn’t follow his tenure at all.

I just think even more risky for an highly inexperienced coach to take a job with a mess of a franchise.

The guy that takes that job should be someone that would never expect to get a head coaching opportunity anywhere else.

Maybe that is McCown? But from what I have heard seems like he may have some legit talent.

Yep and you know Baker is being unfairly criticized when Cowherd is vehemently defending the guy. lol

There were a few things that went bad in Cleveland. Baker wasn't ready to deal with a "name" WR, OBJ thought he was still a #1 and wanted his targets, and prior to Stefanski...they had a coach who didn't know what the hell he was doing and this year, Baker was obviously injured and trying to play through it.

But OBJ and his Daddy made it all about Baker and folks bought it.

Na, it’s still going to be the Bills and Chiefs for a bit. The Bengals will be the Bengals again.

Bengals are up and coming and will be a problem for the AFC for years to come.

But let’s be real. KC had that game won and Mahomes/KC choked it away.

I think that term is overused in sports a lot, but yesterday was a choke.

And that isn’t a knock on the Bengals. They deserve to be in the Super Bowl.

Mostly agree. I have a feeling Baker could deal with an elite, name receiver if he actually was elite and didn't just think he still was.....would help if he was not trying to play his way out of town, as well.

That said, I'm not sure I see this regime paying for an Adams or Godwin and might instead get someone like Robinson and draft someone at 13 or in round 2.

will also say IF they wanted such a receiver the notion we couldn't get one because of Baker is nuts. Players go where the money is in the NFL. Top WR last year went to play with Daniel Jones and for Joe Judge.

If he had a career ending injury in the summer, is Mahomes a top 5 QB of all time @tlance ?

Only asked because Stephen A had him #4 on his greatest Qbs of all time which is laughable to me

I would be surprised if Mahomes doesn’t end up somewhere in that neighborhood given what he has already achieved.

Projecting him top 5 is fine.

But he hasn’t earned it yet.

Twitter streets saying Bengals got away with clear fumble. Thoughts?
