If I was betting on the game I'd pick the Rams.
lol, i'm ALREADY getting buried in Rams shit out here from friends, BSPN, and soon probably my neighbors. if there WAS a way for those clowns to blow it i'd be all for it. Just don't see any way the Bengals upset these punks though. Be glad you didn't see Kroenke's shit-eating grin after the night game...

Upsets can happen. Ask Eli. But I agree with you, don't see it happening. Whatever happens the Bengals first priority in the off season has to be upgrading the o-line. And as far as Kroenke. Yeah glad I didn't see him celebrating. I would have gotten sick.

They definitely need to improve their OL but I also think it could go the other way. This defense has played above all expectations, it's impressive you have to give credit to the coaching as well.
I think they also got some good draws.

Raiders - 1st round is a great draw
#1 seed Titans? Tannehill was awful in that game.
Chiefs- Mahomes probably has his worst playoff game in his career and Reid shit the bed in that game.

Again, they had the gameplan so all the credit to Cincy but I don't see this being a trend for Cincy. I think they definitely can compete for the next decade but a lot of contenders in the AFC.

If it's Cincy year, Stafford shits the bed and Burrow gets a statue in Cincy. He won't ever need to win another SB and he's only in year 2 lol.
Dude, this. Some organizations are built different. If Joey B. was in New England or Pittsburgh, winning a SB is great and gets the monkey off the back. But by no means, would those fanbases be satisfied with 1 SB win in the long term. Bengals have only been to 1 SB (that I know of) in their franchise history and it's been over 30 years. They may name a district in Cincy after him if they win. He'd be the biggest athlete ever in that city, regardless of sport.

And I'll make a note on my Phins, we're in Bengals territory now. If some QB comes along and does what Burrow does. He's getting a statue immediately.

Agree. I think that goes for a handful of teams that can compete for the next 4-5 years. Dolphins, Bengals, Browns. Bills, maybe? All those starting QB's are getting statues. I included the Bills bc they did go to 4 straight SB's with Kelly but never won one. If Josh Allen wins one early in his career it will say a lot. Those Bills fans are die hards.

Mayfield really had a lot of people thinking OBJ was washed.....
As a #1 WR OBJ is washed. I doubt anyone thought his career as a potential productive receiver was over.

He's basically been a coach for years now. I'm not sure who I heard it from but one QB learned everything from McCown. He knows how to run an offense, teach the young guys and he has probably been a leader on most of the teams he played for. Not crazy at all. QB coach or OC seems more reasonable though.

Yeah, I would want to see him be a QB coach or something first, but not doubting it is possible he could be decent.

Problem is, taking a bad head coaching job is probably a poor career move for McCown more so than it would be a bad hire for the Texans

also get a first place schedule and cannot hope to lose the fewest games to injury (and Covid if still an issue) next season.

something to be said for that....then again, only 32 of these jobs and worse case, I guess, is get a shit ton of money, get fired then paid to not work.

start as a QB coach with a bad QB and that doesn't help the career either.

Yeah I think GB losing was a blessing in disguise for LAR. Even then the 49ers blew that game.

I don't know. Maybe since it meant not having to go to Lambeau...but the 49ers were a bad matchup and had beaten the Rams 6 straight times.

Either way, they were going to be in tough game, imo.
