As far as team outcome, yes the same. Of course the Bills future looks a hell of a lot brighter but if we look back in 5 years and Allen has 2 MVP's but Baker has a SB title, who is the real winner? Not comparing it player to player and I kinda doubt the Browns get a SB before Buffalo at this point.

The only way Baker wins a SB is as a backup.

LOL, by not fumbling at all?
I guess you didn’t see what he did on the final possession, just saying this guy has a history of pick 6’s and they come in bunches when they come.

Mayfield is more likely to be wearing a ball cap as a back up QB than the Browns winning a Super Bowl with him at the helm. He’s never going to get a better chance than what he saw this year. What do they have one more year of him being small potatoes on their salary cap?

That was always going to be pretty likely. The guy from Wyoming who is getting at best a future great coach while he is learning the ropes is going to have success once he attains top level coaching. This is very different from a prospect from say Florida whose mechanics are broken and legit technical coaches have already failed in reworking his mechanics.

You would think so, but all the "experts" claimed the one thing that you can't improve as a QB is accuracy. I remember that getting repeated as gospel to blast the Bills' selection. Silly really.

I wouldn't have squibbed as that can easily be downed quickly at the 40 or so. I'd have kicked deep to the 5-10 so they have to return it.
I disagree. You can’t avoid calling the right play because of fear of misexecution. The right play there is the squib that forces a touch to get the clock rolling.

I think those people are full of shit. I’ve seen it with far less talented performers. You can fix accuracy through repetitions and through improved mechanics.

You may have taken some crap for that but cannot imagine anyone wasn't thinking it.

Wow would that suck to be a Bills' fan after that one. Far worse than any of the "THE" games Cleveland fans have endured (drive, shot, etc).
nah, i was KNOWING we'd overcome. Read it in my tea leaves...:heh:

It's a swami thing...

I saw it. Knee was down, then the ball comes out.

Turnovers will definitely be key against the Niners, but Stafford has played very clean through two weeks of the playoffs, and Akers' return helps that as well (as long as he doesn't repeat yesterday's fumbling issues, or Michel will take over).

I would've kicked away short of the goal line as well as long as Hill wasn't returning. Best of both worlds. Get the clock rolling without giving away the field position.

Michel showed how much of a workhorse he can be when Akers was out. They can beat the niners like that, not sure they will go that route though.

I'm still interested in seeing if the Browns are gonna pay him this offseason...

As far as an extension? He's already under contract for next season. I would assume no unless he accepts a lesser deal, unless he shows out next season.

Yeah, McVay has a tough time throttling down.

Akers does bring a different dimension to the position that Sony doesn't, but Sony can get the job done if Cam's fumble issues persist.

AR anti-vaxxer has added something else to his resume.

He's now gone 16 playoff games (2011 to '21) without a trip to the Super Bowl, an all time record.

Hard to imagine a bigger defensive lapse than failing to defend a FG for 13 seconds. Outranks the Music City Debacle IMO...which was with 16 seconds remaining.
So many things you can do to waste 13 seconds. Obviously make them return a kick (I'd kick to the 5-10, not squib). Hell, you could just have all the DBs tackle the receivers and waste 5-6 seconds....who cares about the 5 yard penalty?

Next year is 5th year option at $18 mil+. I sure hope he can get a better chance next year than this year. I expect the receiver room to only keep DPJ and Schwartz (maybe someone like Bradley). doubt we spend big money on an elite WR but could see going after a stud possession guy and maybe using pick 13 on a WR.

Really think the loss of Hunt is underestimated and he missed most of the second half...of course, cannot guarantee he can get healthy.

It's not misexecution. I squib kick done right could get downed at the 40. Kick it to the 5-10 and the clock is rolling as they have to try and return it.

I'd be shocked....unless he would take a deal like what Bortles signed (and even that I'm not sure would be offered before they see him play post surgery).

They could always not catch the ball and see if it goes in the end zone though. Clock doesn’t start until it’s touched.
