Yep somewhere like Detroit or Philly would be perfect for him. Needs a good running game and a good defense but even that may not be good enough. He had that in his first season in New Orleans and did nothing with it. He is who he is at this point
You shove this up your ass, sir.

But, he left the Saints and went to the Seahawks.....LOL.

Yes because when looking for a new coach, you usually let go of the entire staff and let the new guy bring in who he wants.

If Kubiak was bad, he would not have gotten the same OC job within 2 weeks

I’ll take it a step further, I bet at least 80 percent of Super Bowl winning qbs in recent memory have won an mvp award in their careers. Probably higher than that.

No one is winning without a pro bowl level qb, not in todays game

I’m not sure about that.

Elite defense, great line play and average QB can get there.

That is what the 9ers had last year. Purdy isn’t anything special.

You add all those ingredients and average can look a lot like pro bowl. Can even get there sometimes.

Hurts is probably closer to league average QB than he is to the top also.

I would also add that Darnold was pro bowl this year. Some pretty mediocre guys make it sometimes.

If anyone else signs that guy they get what they get, it won’t be good
It would probably be beneficial if the Vikings got someone like Rodgers to mentor JJ from the bench, but Rodgers delusion and smugness would prevent anything like that from coming to fruition.

In MN or anywhere, Rodgers can still chuck the ball around but I still don’t see him as a starter even if he’s better than some starters on other teams, too big of an injury risk.

This is interesting so I looked it up. Went back to 1980. QB's that haven't won an MVP award but won a Super Bowl.

Russell Wilson, Stafford, Nick Foles, Flacco, Brees, BigBen, Eli, Brad Johnson, Aikman, Mark Rypien, Jeff Hostetler (spelling?), Doug Williams, Phil Simms, Jim McMahon, Joe Theisman, Jim Plunkett

So that’s like 65 percent in the last 45 years have won an mvp award. I was talking more recebt memory, like the last 10-15 years. The game has changed

So are the Raiders and Browns…or any team without a QB.

Look at the final 8 teams:

Mahomes, Stroud, Allen, Jackson, Hurts, Daniels, Stafford, Goff

Then look at those who got eliminated WC weekend. Either young good QBS or solid vets. Darnold and Russ are the only question marks from those teams

Nix
Love
Baker
Herbert
Darnold
Russ

Exactly.

Hurts is nothing special. Darnold showed at the end of the season who he is.

And.....

Trent Dilfer
Brad Johnson
Doug Williams

Etc

Obviously, I didn't watch nearly as many Saints games last year as you did...but his number were solid.

He completed 68.4% of his passes for 3878 yards with 25 tds and 8 picks last. Even this year, with all of the injuries, etc. he completed 67.7% of his passes for 2145 yards with 15 tds and 5 picks.

Unless I'm missing something, those numbers don't suggest a QB problem or at least not entirely a QB problem.

The Seahawks just hired Kubiak and it looks like he's a bit of a mixed bag. Has done some good things but fired when a couple of HC's he worked under got fired.
