It’s not about the coach down there. That whole organization is a mess. Moore would have been better off waiting a year like the Lions coordinators did. Moore will be there for 3 years and get fired. Won’t be his fault.

Good hire for the saints considering what a shit job it is right now

What else can they do, hire their own David culley??

I think moore took it simply because he’s been passed by enough times and also doesn’t wanna be Bobby slowik

Probably.

They keep kicking the can down the road rather than rebuild.

Part of that are the contract structures

They don’t have a lot of guys they can cut and get meaningful savings for

The time to do that was to not sign carr at all

They thought they could contend for the NFC south with the vaunted defense and Kamara we are always hearing about.....

This season was the first bad year they had on defense in over 5 years

They finished 7th,5th, and 13th the prior 3 seasons

Mediocre QB play/injuries at the QB position is the only reason they didn’t make the playoffs in any of those years

You always blame the QB but never the OC or HC....Yet, you were glad to see Allen go.....go figure.

There isn’t anyone out there that would disagree with me that Carr been mediocre in his 2 years here.

Yes I was glad to see Allen go because it became clear as day since the end of last season that the players stopped listening to him. Both things can be true

The playcalling was horrible.

Also don’t think you know the definition of mediocre because you love to give me push back when I say that about Carr but that’s literally what he is and been for quite a while now

The playcalling was horrible.

Play calling was fine this year. Bad defense and ridiculous amount of injuries on offense killed any chance they had to do something this season. There is a reason why their former OC got a job in no time

In no particular order here are the QBs better than Carr

Hurts
Mahomes
Burrow
Jackson
Allen
Daniels
Love
Goff
Herbert
Baker
Tua
Dak
Cousins
Rodgers
Stroud
Stafford

That’s already 16 and there’s still another 2-3 I probably take before I get to Carr as well

He is the literal definition of mediocre

You are dead without a qb
The Saints receivers were a MASH unit this season and they ended up signing MVS and he was their #1 receiver at one point this season. He was their main deep threat towards the end of the season.

Despite his receivers getting hurt.....Carr still completed 68% of his passes for 215ypg, 7.7ypa, just 5 INT's in 280 passes with a 101 PR. Yeah, the 215ypg isn't good but anybody watching the Saints knows the receivers were trash since the good ones were hurt. Only team that had as many injuries was the Texans.....and they had a lot more overall talent and better coaching.

And the OC and HC were trash.

Yeah, he's been a good, but not great QB for most of his career. A guy you can win with if you put a good team around him. But he's 33 now and the wear and tear is starting show.

Klint Kubiak was so bad that the Browns and Seahawks could not wait to interview him soon as the season was over lol

A bad OC doesn't get hired for the same position within 2-3 weeks

Yep somewhere like Detroit or Philly would be perfect for him. Needs a good running game and a good defense but even that may not be good enough. He had that in his first season in New Orleans and did nothing with it. He is who he is at this point

No one is winning without a pro bowl level qb, not in todays game
