I think that will always be the case.

Just really hard to evaluate how college teams will match up.

Another reason why I believe the people who think college is better to watch than pro are crazy.
I think a huge reason people like to watch college is that just 1-2% will actually go to the pros.....they play for the love of the game....unlike some NFL players who play for the money.

Those days are long gone, long gone. That’s why Saban retired, players no longer doing that.

I know college football has changed, just saying why some like watching it. Or maybe better phrasing would have been how college football used to be? LOL.

I never got that.

I want to see the best players at the top level.

Of course pros are playing for money and future above love for the game. A lot of college guys are too now.

The wild momentum swings and huge upsets can be pretty entertaining too.

You don't get those as much with the NFL.

It's kind of difficult to explain re: the college game. It's kind of something you have to experience.

My brother-in-law is a huge NFL fan. He knows I love college football as much as the NFL, but could never understand my love for college football.

So, I took him to a USC night game when they were rolling under Pete Carroll. Got there early, went to Heritage Hall, went to the bookstore and got some "swag". Went to the "Trojan walk" through the peristyle end of the Coliseum and then the game.

Afterwards he said..."That was a lot of fun. I still prefer the NFL...but now I completely get why you love college football."

I do understand that.

I find random games on TV just don’t hold my attention though. They are so long.

Even games I am interested to watch I end up only watching like 1st and 4th quarter.
