After seeing Ohtani play 6 seasons with the Angels, never making the playoffs, then going to the World Series in his 1st season with the Dodgers you have to wonder what Mike Trout is thinking about his decisions to stay in Anaheim. Especially since he only made it to the playoffs once in his 14 seasons with them.

Time to relegate/move/sell/etc. the Angels

Also making a trade is so hard because his name value and the fact that his contract means is trade value is basically neutral. Meaning zero surplus value in terms of what you’re paying him

The injuries don't help either

Kupp being shopped for a 2nd and the Rams willing to take on some of his '24 salary.

The Rams have called multiple teams.
The Rams and Vikes are in serious talks....

Stafford for Darnold. The Vikes want to make a push for the SB and the Rams interested in Darnold long term

I think they're just laying groundwork should they lose the next two games (Vikes, Hawks). If they lose those two, maybe. Kupp is the more likely of the two IMO, but it would be tough to get enough value for him (they're apparently trying to replace the 2nd rounder they traded to move up in the 2nd for Fiske this year).

Rams did show some interest in Darnold this past offseason as a potential successor to Stafford, and his success thus far with the Vikes does extend well to McVay's system.

Dodgers seem to be going with flaherty game 1

We’ll see if he has anything left

Weird, unless they're avoiding WS jitters with Matsumoto (who appeared a bit affected in his first playoff start).

If they win without so many of their starting pitching options they expected to have, it will be impressive. No Glasnow, Gonsolin, Kershaw, May, Miller, or even Stone. Just one more of those names to avoid these bullpen games would be a big step up IMO.

#RIPFernandoValenzuela

Heard that during the Lakers game last night, heartbreaking. He was one of my first Dodgers heroes when I was just getting really invested in sports. The timing of his passing is striking, given that the last Dodgers/Yankees world series was in 1981 amidst Fernandomania.

RIP.

Hopkins has had a chance or two to show he still has it, we will see.

His qb play has been an issue the entire time he’s been in Tenn

This is a good chance for him

Doesn’t mean either plays well….
Who cares, it's all about that bling especially for us fans. Do Denver fans care that Peyton Manning sucked when they won that Super Bowl with their defense?
