Chiefs have talent on that side of the ball. Spags has been figured out. He holds that team back. And that’s crazy to say about arguably the best team in the league.

No one is punting that ball to anyone if they are 0-1 and have a guy like Jackson. He doesn’t do everything but that is precisely his wheelhouse.

Only because too many coaches are still stuck in the past with archaic thinking on how to handle 4th down.

It is a risk either way.

But with how good teams are at throwing the ball and moving quickly, most QBs are able to get the team in FG range most of the time in that situation.

Mahomes presence just made this decision a no brainer.
