I liked Bloodline. I was bummed they rushed the last season (season 3) to end the show. I thought a 4th season was warranted. Chernobyl is amazing- limited series about the disaster.

Station 11- another limited series- a little fringey but I thought it was excellent. @Mecca I am sure you watched both Chernobyl and Station 11 didnt you?

Station Eleven is an American post-apocalyptic dystopian fiction miniseries created by Patrick Somerville based on the 2014 novel of the same name by Emily St. John Mandel. The miniseries premiered on HBO Max on December 16, 2021, and ran for ten episodes until January 13, 2022.

It received critical acclaim and was nominated for seven Primetime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for Himesh Patel.

Premise[edit]

Twenty years after a flu pandemic resulted in the collapse of civilization, a group of survivors who make their living as traveling performers encounter a violent cult led by a man whose past is unknowingly linked to a member of the troupe.[1]

Chernobyl is a 2019 historical drama television miniseries that revolves around the Chernobyl disaster of 1986 and the cleanup efforts that followed. The series was created and written by Craig Mazin and directed by Johan Renck. It features an ensemble cast led by Jared Harris, Stellan Skarsgård, Emily Watson, and Paul Ritter. The series was produced by HBO in the United States and Sky UK in the United Kingdom.

The five-part series premiered simultaneously[a] in the United States on May 6, 2019, and in the United Kingdom on May 7. It received widespread critical acclaim for its cinematography, historical accuracy, performances, atmosphere, tone, screenplay, and musical score. At the 71st Primetime Emmy Awards, it received nineteen nominations and won for Outstanding Limited Series, Outstanding Directing, and Outstanding Writing, while Harris, Skarsgård, and Watson received acting nominations. At the 77th Golden Globe Awards, the series won for Best Miniseries or Television Film and Skarsgård won for Best Supporting Actor in a Series, Miniseries or Television Film.[2][3]

The release of each episode was accompanied by a podcast in which Mazin and NPR host Peter Sagal discuss instances of artistic license and the reasoning behind them.[4] While critics, experts and witnesses have noted historical and factual discrepancies in the series, the creators' attention to detail has been widely praised.[5][6]

Premise[edit]

Chernobyl dramatizes the story of the April 1986 nuclear plant disaster which occurred in the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, Soviet Union, telling the stories of the people who were involved in the disaster and those who responded to it.[7] The series depicts some of the lesser-known stories of the disaster, including the efforts of the firefighters who were the first responders on the scene, volunteers, and teams of miners who dug a critical tunnel under Reactor 4.

The miniseries is based in large part on the recollections of Pripyat locals, as told by Belarusian Nobel laureate Svetlana Alexievich in her book Voices from Chernobyl.[8] Researchers have documented Alexievich's insertion of her own words into the testimonies of her interview subjects in this and others of her books, as well as her extensive revision--even from one edition to the next--of her interviews, which suggests that her works should not be taken as straightforward history.[9][10]

they are all completely different. I wouldnt bother with Season 2 - or really 3---- a lot of other good stuff on MAX to watch if you got it now.

Some under the radar shows on MAX (formerly HBO) that I would watch far before Season 2 or 3- are Chernobyl, and Station 11.

I think Banshee was solid--- but if you havent been through a MAX library there are a lot of shows I would go to first-- Deadwood, Sopranos is a big commitment but excellent....obv. GOT....

In Chernobyl and Station 11- both limited series- I was suggestion 2 really good shows that are not humongous time commitments.

OK...bugging me trying to figure out what you think this was. Will also try not to give anything away but what I'm thinking it was didn't really go away if that makes sense.

Oh I’ve watched Deadwood and Sopranos multiple times. Deadwood was an extremely underrated show, so well written.

the Chiefs need a hot month of.....catching wide open passes....and they could easily win the whole thing.

But what are the odds of that?
It has only been a year but it didn't seem like they had good WR's last year too. They were clicking though.

Kelce was a hell of a lot better and healthy.
Scantley was better.
Juju stepped up in the SB(not on roster now)
Mahomes only threw for 182 yards in the SB
They got a bye.

It's not like they were playing amazing. Kelce was better and like you said, WR's just weren't dropping as many passes. If they figure out that, their defense is good enough to win games.

Mostly agree though not sure I'd call Browns a true longshot. Heck, I thought a longshot in 2020 - even moreso in WC round in Pittsburgh with all the guys we were missing to Covid - and we beat the Steelers and nearly pulled off the upset against a serious favorite like KC. with a pretty bad D.

all that said will be tough to get into SB out of AFC especially considering would likely need to win 3 on road where our D has struggled.
I mean they are +5000

Almost the same odds as Texans and Bucs. Only teams worse are Pack and Steelers.

I will say one thing I am worriead about in the Browns/Texans game

Most Turnovers in the NFL: Browns with 37

Least Turnovers in the NFL: Texans with 14

lol........that's not a great stat for playoff football.

I hear ya but they have beaten both top seeds so feel like they could beat anyone......as I said hard to see it happening, though, without at least 1-2 at home.

we will def. see just how good Cleveland's pass defense is and if those corners that have gotten a lot of positive attention are up for the challenge. They play a ton of man coverage.

Myles is going to be as healthy as he has been in a long time since his shoulder injury a few weeks back- he is facing one of the best LT in football so that will be a great matchup. I really think this is the game where Zadarious Smith and the rest of the d-line has to show up.

I don't see how anyone including Vegas puts the Niners over the Ravens. We just saw a healthy Niners team get smoked at home by them. Not to say the next matchup would be the same, it probably wouldn't be. But where's the evidence the Niners are better?

Did you watch that game?

9ers were moving the ball effortlessly. The 4 picks by Purdy accounted for the result.

I think he is more likely to throw 0 picks than he is to throw 2 or more.
