There was no possible way to get this right.

There were 6 teams that all needed to get a shot.

And you can’t put Georgia in over Alabama when they have the same record and Alabama just beat them.

FSU, Georgia and Alabama all needed to be in. Not enough teams invited to the party.
Yeah one of the few years there were more than 4 that deserved a shot. 12 would have been great this year

So when people bitch that referees aren't held accountable and the NFL doesn't care about making them better, is this what they want to see happen?
Of course that is what should happen. The fn clock is stopped though, no reason for this to happen. This ref had to realize he messed up and just doubled down on it instead of doing the right thing. This should affect his involvement going forward, not just this year.

The Saints lead, 7-0, and no Carr sucks?
Dude give it up, more weeks than not Carr is underperforming grossly. And I’m a huge fan of the person.

My point was more about if you think the NFL is in fact aware of ref problems and doing the right things to fix them

NFL does a better job of this than the NBA. I never heard NBA cut a ref crew out of a playoffs and this isn't the first time i heard this from them

As I understand it this only matters if the niners are to lose a game and if they do the Lions could have won out and got the 2 seed instead of the 3. Try telling that to Lions fans though, jeez they have it rough.

Committee got it right
Debatable.....but, sure, can make a case for Bama. Results after don't matter.

I mean, in 2015, MSU was blasted in the CFP but they still got it right even though OSU was clearly a lot better.....MSU earned it on the field.

As I've said I don't follow it and don't care one way or the other. When there's only 4 slots this is inevitable. 12 fixes it. To me you want all 4 of the teams to have a shot at the title, FSU never was going to be that. But whatever.
