But you said "with few exceptions" not just these 2 times. As to this game they did not know what the score would be "late in the game" at the end of the first half.
Now I can agree with this coach (especially seeing what he did at the end) he truly may have just gone by his "gut" and not any kind of data.
Learn how to read. Never said you didn't. I said it is not a guarantee conversion.
People can hate/disagree with the decision all they want but the kick had the distance so it wasn't a terrible decision. Not like he didnt have the leg for it
4th and 5 isn't easy. Defense line can pin their ears back while the secondary can play the sticks.
I guess I’m just too old school for the alternate telecasts, I can’t do it.
All true, but I heard a stat this morning that the chances of hitting the field goal was 14% vs 42% going for it.
Also have to remember who the QB is. This wasn't some rookie. This is a guy who has made a career out of coming through in situations like that.
Situations like that are literally why they got him and gave him a $240 million contract. Then the first time they are in that situation, they opt for a 64 yard field goal.
My biggest issue on the play was how indecisive they were and time wasting. The kicker said his target line was the 46 which is where they were at. Needed to move faster just in case of a missed kick since they had all of their timeouts. Could have gotten the ball back with 20 seconds or so

Yeah i would have went for it. My main sticking point is 4th and 5 isn't an automatic conversion so we can't just assume they would have gotten the 1st

It's interesting because you're getting the perspective of one of the all time greats, but it's a lot more talking than a regular broadcast which can be distracting.

I have watched those guys like for a few minutes 1, maybe 2 times.....I guess I’m just too old school for the alternate telecasts, I can’t do it.
His decision making is like sitting next to a dude at the black Jack table who hits on 18 with the dealer showing a 6. How do you handicap dumb decision making? You’re fucked. It's interesting because you're getting the perspective of one of the all time greats, but it's a lot more talking than a regular broadcast which can be distracting.
Forgot it was on last night...I'd have loved to hear Peyton on that final drive.
I really know baseball more than anyone.
Guardians- as streaky as they come.
Right?A guy hitting a 64 yarder?
i would say less than 10%- especially under that pressure.
I would say the chances of converting 4 and 5 is def. not less than 40% with Russel Wilson.
I cant see how you do not go for it. No way was that guy hitting a 64 yarder. You pay Wilson 200 million and have a mediocre kicker try a 64 yarder? cmon.
