I kind of love that his first game back is at Houston.

He will get destroyed by the fans. Maybe as bad as Ben Simmons in Philly.

Also though, Houston is not blameless in the Watson drama. Fitting that they are his first game back.

Lastly, I love that the league fined him $5 million. It is pretty slimy that his salary is so low this season in the year everyone knew he was getting suspended. The fine corrects that injustice a bit.

I think there's some funny irony that DW's first game back will be in Houston. I expect loud booing.

And I agree that Houston isn't blameless in this. Anyone that thinks they didn't know what was going on is fooling themselves.

I also like the fine. And I wouldn't have been against DW being fine 1 million for each case he settled.

And not just for 11 games.....play Jimmy G while Watson works himself back into shape. By the time he returns, he wouldn't have played in a long time. Play him week 14 or 15 while Jimmy G helps the Browns compete in a stacked AFC. Play him too soon and Watson could cost them games since he going to be rusty.

A completed film that they spent 90 mil on gets flushed because of bad test screenings.

Yep, the Browns should try to get Jimmy G for the exact same reason I don't want the Seahawks to try to get him. He is good enough that he will actually help a team win games.

The Browns are good enough that they should be able to win 5 or 6 games with Brissete at QB before Watson returns. With Jimmy G, they can improve that enough that they could/should be solidly in the playoff race when Watson is eligible to play.

As you point out, unless Jimmy G got hurt, the Browns wouldn't have to rush Watson back. I didn't see it, but I heard that the rust of not having played for nearly 2 years was pretty evident in the couple of series he got in their pre-season game. Don't want to be going through that when fighting for playoff seeding.
