I'm sure he had his issues but he was drafted in the 2nd round for a reason. He just wasn't a fit in the NFL, plain and simple. There are plenty of great college players that just don't succeed in the NFL. I think it definitely had an effect on his short career so he probably has a more lengthy career if not for the mental abuse but he was never going to be a great NFL player, is my point.

Solid role player for a nice, long career? I could definitely go for that. He was still decent for his short stint.
Agree on that. I never would have projected him to be All Pro. But he had the talent to hang around as an adequate starter for 8-10 years.

Just wonder how much all that hurt him. I really thought he was good enough to stick in the league.
Once he tore his achilles in '16, that was probably the downside of his career. Medicine has come a long way with how athletes recover from ligament tears in their knees (ACL/MCL/PCL). Tendons are a whole different story.

If you watch the doc, it hurt him a lot.

Don’t think he would have ever been a superstar because of his lack of measurables.

But he was having full blown anxiety attacks and was playing scared because he didn’t want to mess up.

Can’t play any sport without a ton of confidence. He lost that after the catfishing incident. It even showed during the championship game against Bama.

The NFL and Watson are discussing terms of an acceptable deal on a suspension.

Just imagine if DW plays 6-8 games, the suspension comes in and he misses the rest of this season and say 5-6 of next season?

LOL.
