It might be a silly argument, but do you think James would rather have 5 rings vs 3 rings and all the other awards that he's earned?
My guess is 5 rings.

I agree.

Still the worst way possible to compare players.

I was eluding to this team won't be beat from an outside team. But the internals that make up this team in terms of front office and coaching may actually be what ultimately pulls this thing apart.

Klay is the one to worry about in terms of potentially leaving.

Last night, Lacob specifically mentioned the other 3 stars, but not Klay. I was watching closely during the post game, and Klay was hiding in the background while everyone else was in plain view. When the reporter called his name, it took him a bit to get up to front. The other key players were all prominently in the foreground.

It may be nothing at all, probably isn't, but you just never know how a guy will internalize the situation. He may feel that he deserves more credit than he is getting. My opinion is that as currently constructed, their most important players are:

1: KD
2: Draymond
3: Klay
4: Curry
5: Iggy

Curry is a better player, but Klay and Dray's production is harder to replace, IMO. If they win 3 more titles and Klay is in the background every time, like he was last night, he might just leave when his contract is up. KD and Curry need to be sure to play up the contributions of Klay every chance they get. He needs to feel the love.

I agree with this. I found that odd as well. You're absolutely right because Klay's arguably the best defender on his team. On top of that you can get great offensive production from him as well. If they win another title, he'll have 3 rings and may want a change. I'd welcome him with open arms down in Miami.

5-6 people here were saying he's the GOAT.

I don't think anyone here has said he's the GOAT, with the exception of maybe @lebron23james . Certain posters have said that he can be in discussion for it, especially if he were to have won this Finals - which I would've agreed if Lebron had pulled that off.

Yeah, I think the foul trouble took Love out of the game. He's the type of guy that feeds off of a strong start.

Kyrie gave it his all he just didn't have it last night. Overall I'm not too disappointed with any of the Cavs players outside of maybe Deron and Korver. I would've been upset with TT, but he brought it the last couple games.
Lmfao @ that avi....lol

Maybe in 3 years.

What you fail to realize is that KD is still pretty good at every aspect of the game Giannis is better tHan him in. Also, I am not sure about Giannis being the better passer. He averages more assists, yes, but KD is really good there too. Kerr even said KD might be the best passer on the Warriors. When you play with draymond and Curry, that is no small compliment.

The difference is that Giannis struggles with his outside shot and KD is an elite shooter. It is night and day KD's shot makes him completely unguardable, where Giannis' lack of shooting allows teams to sag and take away the driving lanes. But, if you watched Giannis struggle against the Raptors in the playoffs, you wouldn't be making these claims.

KD is one of the best scorers ever to play the game and Giannis is not close to his level there. Case closed.

The freak averaged more rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks this season at the age of 21-22 years old than KD has ever averaged despite being on a depleted team that lost their second and third best player for the season. He literally carried this team into the playoffs and did pretty well in the postseason also despite basically being a one man show.

I grew up a Sonics fan and followed KD after he moved away. I thought he was great but this kid isn't called a freak for nothing. He's bigger, stronger, faster and more skilled in every area of the game except shooting the three. His FG% was nearly identical despite being a one man show and KD having three other all stars to take pressure off him. Giannis is basically a 7 ft version of Russel Westbrook but more efficient.

Again, the only thing KD has over the 22 year old Giannis is a three point shot but Giannis is better at everything else and a vastly superior defender according to the numbers and the eye test. KD is suspect in one on one defense while Giannis can lock down his man. Also he can play all 5 positions which KD can't and normally just plays the 4 or 3.

As for the 3 pt shot Giannis can't be in a better situation than with Jason Kidd on his team as the coach. Kidd was at one point considered big for his position and over time he became a great three point shooter despite being a terrible 3 pt shooter when he started. I have no doubts that the Freak can and will become a 40%+ shooter from three point range but it will take time. When he shot 35% from three point land his first season that showed me he has the ability to get there but will have some work to do. Once he gets that shot down he will be the best player in the league and most likely be averaging a triple double while being on the all NBA defensive team as well. By the age of 25-26 he will be the best and even if the bucks don't get him help they will still be a legitimate threat in the East with him as the leader.

Game Set Match

Greek Freak>>>>>>>>KD and it's not even close. The only reason this is even up for debate is people are all excited about the championship and now KD is supposed to be the best but that's far from the truth.

@CitySushi , @Mecca

congrats on wining on our bets. We will have to finalize the vcash situation.

2nd- dude- McCaw was awful- he bricked 2 threes badly- and kyrie scorched him - he played like shit

3rd- congrats to all warriors fans---- on a great season. A fun year of NBA basketball. The Cavs blew any chance they had at this series when they couldnt close out game 3.
Let @CitySushi get first Dibs on the Avatar.

You and @gordontrue should get it over with at the same time.

...I don't need the VCash.

This series/result was very similar to James final series in Miami.
I know he's under contract next year.

Dubs in 5 came true. I said they'd leave Cleveland at 3 - 1 and close it at home.

Does this Trumpy brazen lying stuff work on anyone in your life? LOL

Durant didn't have to because he had Ibaka and then Adams....

Freak had a chronically broken Henson, Parker and a underwhelming Monroe.

He has to do everything or they get blown out.

If I was building a team for the future, not the present, I'd take Kawhi and then Freak.

To win next Season?

Lebron, Kawhi, Durant.

Kawhi is still young enough, skilled enough to be at the top of both lists for some.

Freak.....not yet. But, soon.....
