Game 3 or 4 of the Phili series, I remember thinking to myself that a piss poor back up like Fred VanVleet is going to cost the Toronto team a long and promising playoff run.

I'm evidently not as smart as I think I am.

He was terrible in that series. His wife was 9+ months preggie. He was stressing over not being home for the birth of his first child. Once everything was fine he has been himself.
