It seems a really good chunk of the money is coming in on SA to cover game 1 and the line has moved from -3.5 to -4.5.

Tony Parker hit a winning shot in a close game. That is not exactly luck.
If someone makes a clutch but relatively normal shot, you tip your cap.
It was not like Parker shot from 65 feet away.

The HEAT needed an 85% FT shooter to miss + 75% FT shooter to miss + 2 offensive rebounds in + 4 3 point shot attempts all in less than 30 seconds.

That is just a tad more lucky than the Spurs best player making a single game winning shot.

But, they won fair and square regardless.

That was a bit more lucky.

Spurs have to win Game 1. Miami always seems to play its worst game right at the start

That was a bit more lucky.

Both plays involved both fortuitous bounces and a clutch shot.

I have a feeling that if LeBron had hit that shot in game 1 instead of Parker (along with all the fumbling of the ball) the consensus would be he got lucky.

Conversely, if the Spurs make the 5 pt comeback in game 6 tying it on a late 3... it would be all "what great execution. That's how a real team does it!"

No team can "execute" the other team's best free throw shooter to miss.
The HEAT comeback needed head scratching misses of usually lethal late game freethrows.

It also need LEBRON to shoot so god awful poorly, that it took a crazy carom right to Mike Miller.
Had LBJ made even a reasonable missed shot, the Spurs corral the rebound.

The first missed 3 pointer somehow magically bounced around through traffic into Mike Millers hand. It was like some magic bullet that conspiracy nuts aspire to the Kennedy assassination.

The 2nd offensive rebound to Bosh was more traditional.....Bosh earned it.
But, that first LEBRON brick turned out to be the luckiest missed shot in HEAT history.

agree but I hate when people say Ray Allen hit a lucky shot.....No he hit a 3 in his sweet spot

Yeah, the ball getting to Ray-Ray was kind of lucky, but the shot was just Ray doing what he does. I've said before, the things that happened that enabled the Heat to be in position to win were lucky, but the shots they hit as a result of that luck were clutch.

Was there a force field over the rim when Tim Duncan missed that shot in game 7?

He makes that 99.99% of the time if he had 1 try.

He got 2 tries at it from less than 1 foot away...and missed them both.

That unlucky break is forgotten in the lore of game 6.

Game 7 ended with almost equal heartbreak late.

GameDay

The day is here for Spurs and Heat
to fight for vengeance or 3peat
Will Timmy get one for his thumb?
Will a dynasty Miami become?

12 months ago, the black and silver
Thought that they had come off victor
But oh the pain when that bubble burst
a dagger from the corner by Shuttlesworth

The King and Flash and the dinosaur
Are back where they've been 3 times before
But they claim an all-time appetite
From Duncan's guarantee and all that "lucky" slight

The grudge match is on, if its half as exciting
Things will break in the place I'm residing
To the victor the spoils, may the best man win
For the love of O'Brien, let this s*** begin!

Ok so I have yet to be wrong in the Big 3 era in ECF and Finals series. BK, Heatles and Flauge can verify that. I have been waiting a couple days for this now as I didnt know which way this series would go, but the outcome has been decided. Heat win in 6.

Lets go Miami!
