Some of you Heat fans are forgetting that Ginobili played horribly in the finals last year. I wouldn't expect that 2 years in a row.

I think Wade is a lot more important than Ginobili for their respective teams. But also Parker is injuredish again.

I disagree. Wade may be a little more important, but not a lot. After Parker, Ginobili is the Spurs best player at creating his own shot and being a playmaker.

And when a play breaks down, he is their best player at still being able to make something out of it.

Ginobili didn't play nearly as bad you think. In fact, he played about as good in the finals last year as he has all postseason this year.

Also, wouldnt expect Danny Green to break NBA finals records for 3pt made in only 5 games again

Ginobili played like shit... I am sure that had NOTHING to do with Lebron guarding him. Maybe the Heat don't play Lebron a lot this finals and he gets free?

:wtf2: Ginobili was horrible. In game 6 alone, he turned the ball over 8 times (a career high) and missed a free throw that could have iced the game.

Lebron wasn't on Ginobili the whole time. He spent time guarding Leonard and Parker as well. I know you Heat fans want to think D-Wade being healthier is all you need and that's why the series was so close last year, but that's just not the case.

The Heat will be better in this series than they were last year. Last year they really didn't play well. They had 3 good games all series.....Played very poor in the other 4.

And LeBron was awful for the 3 games of the series not scoring more than 18 or shooting higher than 44%. Kawhi Leonard played out of his mind the whole finals. gary neal shot 50% from 3. Danny Green set an NBA record for 3pt made 25 of which came in 5 games. Duncan averaged 19 and 12.

Ginobili may have played worse than normal, certainly not good. and he had a bad game 6. but he didn't play as bad as you remember. And in his place a lot of the spurs players played ABSURDLY well to make up for it.

The heat on the other hand had no player play above what you would expect of them last year. with bosh and wade actually playing below expectations. Not to mention the -57 with LeBron and Wade on the court together which is awful, and an aberration

GINOBILI is playing out of his mind finally.

he was complete and utter garbage last season.

His improvement in these playoffs is arguably the top reason the Spurs are in the finals.

I thought MANU was done last year in the finals.
He looked old and completely lost at times. He might have been the worst player on the court last year.

This year he looks better than he has been since arguably 2007.

Patty Mills is an incredible upgrade as well.
He went from about 2-3 minutes a game of garbage to a valuable 12-16 minute solid PG.

Last year when Parker got hurt, the entire series turned around.
That was it. The Series was over.
The SPurs did not have a competent backup point guard. Miami won 3 of the last 4.

They were helpless last season without any ball-handler besides Parker.
Manu was old and played HORRIFIC in 2013. He was a poor backup PG.
Patty Mills was a big FAT SLOB who was maybe a worse option.
Danny Green cannot dribble at all.

The Spurs finally have someone in Patty Mills who can give Parker rest.
And 2014 Manu is also showing he can still be the point-guard and play well.

This year the Spurs have backup point guards they can rely upon.
MIAMI will not be able to simply take advantage of Parker on the bench like last year.

yep. he practically played for the Heat in game 6 last season...

Manu got an honorary ring from Micky Arison delivered personally.

A cardboard cutout would have been more effective.

The Spurs were playing 6 versus 4 anytime he was on the court in 2013.

I am scared to death that he will suddenly fall apart and suck like 2013 all over again.

So far this postseason, Manu looks like his 2007 version.

But Mills pretty much is a substitute for losing Neal. Neal went off last year in the playoffs, especially in the Finals.

So wonder what the matchups are gonna be like. Who does Miami start?? They can't start Lewis, can they?

They might have to start Birdman.

Bosh-Splitter
Birdman/Haslem-Duncan
LBJ-Leonard
Wade- Green
Chalmers-Parker

If they start Diaw, they could put Lewis on him probably.

No game is a throw away game but if lewis can produce as he did in the final 2 games of the indy series (31 points in 2 games) then he deserves the start over UD. He also spread the floor better due to his shooting. He will be fine on defense also. He can obviously guard diaw and if they start splitter he's not some dominant post presence who's going to score 23/13
