So it's impossible to go into a game with no expectations? lol got it

I don't have to expect any particular result. I can just want them to compete and be in it entering the 4th
I get not wanting to say you don't expect your team to win, but nothing wrong if you did.

Truth be told, because of superstition that dates back to The Drive, I'm more reluctant to say I expect my team to win (though wont say I expect them to lose unless I do).

The game was never in doubt. After the 1st quarter the Lakers lead was constantly between 9 and 19 points.

While the Heat played better than expected, they were never a real threat.

If anything, the only reason their win wasn't any bigger is because the Lakers played below average. They missed 31 three-pointers, shot 59% from the free throw line and committed some really dumb fouls.
K...but was absurd to think Lakers were 30 points better.

I can live with that and I will thank him for what he has done for the org
Kind of how I feel about him now.

Though have to admit I would not mind drafting Bronny, Lebron asking to come back and Gilbert saying "thanks, but no thanks."

Maybe. We'll never know for sure now.

I would have been surprised if the Heat got more than 2 wins, personally... but I've been wrong before.

Before the series started I said Lakers in six. But wouldn't have been surprised if it went seven. And I just don't see a LeBron-led team giving up a 2-0 lead in the Finals. Especially with everything the Heat are dealing with right now.

lol, no you didn't

How you doing today troll? And actually yes I did. That's why before the series started I thought it would go 6 or possibly 7 games. Aren't you back to huggin' LeBron's nuts again? Thought I saw a thread you started recently where you called him LeGoat.

Red Right 88. The Drive. The Fumble. That weasel AM moving the team. Starting a rookie QB 1st year back. The # 22- Brady Quinn, Brandon Weeden, Johnny Outta Fottball. 0-16 in 2017 (1-15 in '16). Jimmy Haslam. Hue Jackson and his all time NFL coach worst 3-36-1 record. If I was sober right now I'd be depressed. And I fuckin' hate the # 22. Dammit. On the plus side get to watch the Browns tomorrow.

Hey at least the organization didn't fire Belichick. Did you know AM is the only owner in NFL history that fired two Hall of Fame coaches? Ooppss.

True. But a lot of the Lakers below average play was because of the Heat defense. The Heat did exactly what I said they'd do. They played more zone, they played Olynyk more and they made the Lakers play a lot in the half court.

It was never going to be enough, especially with Bam and Dragic out, but they definitely made the Lakers work and if the Lakers took their foot off the gas like they did in game 1, they'd have been in a lot of trouble.

Not just HOF coaches, arguably the best 2.

I mean, he did set payroll records for the sport in a market like Cleveland, so.................

Cavs fans need to stop with this. The salary cap has been higher than it ever has been. So of course there were payroll records set. Pretty much every team that puts together 2 or 3 star players is going to either set a payroll record or come close to it.

Kudos to Dan for figuring out that he better not go cheap in Lebron's second stint. But he didn't do anything that any other owner with a shot at a title did or is doing.

1 more assist by crowder (or 1 less by KCP) and I probably win around $7k...or maybe more.

Instead? I won 60 (1.4 points from the winners)

Nice job

Assume you had Olynk?

I think there is a better chance LJ will retire as Miami player unless he gets another ring after the one he is going to get here in Los Angeles

He changes on a weekly basis. First he's slamming Lebron (ironic given his poster name). Then he's on his nut sack. Then he's cheering for the Lakers, then he's not. Consistency is a beautiful unappreciated trait.

He was probably a Raptors fans five minutes after they won it all last year.

This.

Miami played well last night, had we had Bam and Dragic, this series may be tied right now. But that's the way it is, no excuses, no "asterisks".

@bksballer89 even pointed out that when the Heat and Lakers were stagnant on offense heading into the 4th, Dragic is usually the one that creates offensive opportunities in situations like that. We were missing that, significantly.

Cavs fans opining Gilbert again as some great champion with out of the box thinking again ? :laugh3:
