No way in hell do you put LeBron ahead of Kobe. JMHO.

It's very, very easy to put Lebron ahead of Kobe. Kobe is a better shooter/scorer, and that's it. Lebron does so many things Kobe just can't/couldn't. He can play lockdown defense on 4/5 positions on the floor, and can guard centers reasonably well. He's an exponentially better passer than Kobe, as well. Kobe is an all-time elite 2. Lebron, though, is a transcendent talent.

I ended being right not because I was smart... just cause I was cheering for the cavs and had an irrational belief in them.

I said I usually flip flop. It's really hard to discern between Duncan, Kobe, and Lebron. They've all played against each other in the same generation. They've all accomplished and/or bring something different to the table. Ducan's had the most consistent elite team while winning 5 titles, but doesn't have as many Finals MVPs. Kobe's got 5 rings as well, where he was the elite piece next to Shaq; similar to how Kyrie was to Lebron this series (not saying Kyrie's on Kobe's level). Lebron is an all-around talent that does everything good. For every title he's had, he's won the Finals MVP.

I can respect your opinion, but IMO Kobe was better than LeBron, don't forget that Kobe was also a great defensive player. Kobe was also 5-2 in the NBA Finals.

One thing I really like is that the Cavs players are acting with total class and not childishly ripping on the Warriors like Green did after last year's finals.

I agree. Although, I don't think I've ever seen Kobe beat a highly favored team like what Lebron did to the Warriors. But yeah, Kobe was a pretty damn good player in his prime. Both are in my top 5-7 regardless.

The Lakers were 5-2 in the Finals, and Kobe was only the best Laker on 2 of those teams. Shaq won the first 3 titles for Kobe. Without him, they don't get out of the West. There's a reason why the Lakers were so mediocre after he left until they brought in another star center.

Kobe was a major piece to those 3 titles. Don't diminish that. They don't win those titles without his contributions.

I can't lie, I didn't think there was a snowball's chance in hell of Cleveland winning this series. They fought hard though, and definitely deserved it in the end.
