Class act @CitySushi as usual.First off, congrats to all the Cavs fans on here. I know what it's like as a fan of a wretched sports franchise to be able to turn it around and win a championship. Enjoy it, as I did last year.
Everyone will say this is a choke job by the Warriors. While they might be right to a certain degree, I think labeling the Warriors as choking would be a huge disservice to the incredible job the Cavs did. From game 5-7, I didn't know the Cavs were capable of playing that type of defense. Add to that, it was a legendary performance by Lebron and it had a complete story book ending for their season. Filled with turmoil and not living up to expectations, they were able to put it together when it counted the most, when their backs were up against the wall on the ultimate stage.
Curry's going to get a lot of shit on here, which is honestly deserved. However one thing I will absolutely not criticize is his shooting or percentage. All season long we've seen him do things that really no other player in the history of the NBA was capable of doing. I'll live with the shots he took and missed. What I absolutely cannot stand is his sloppy play and his turnovers. I counted at least 2 or 3 times in the game where he killed momentum in the game. With under 5 minutes left to play in a tie ball game, there is no need for you to throw a lefty, behind the back pass, which is just a routine pass. Inexcusable.
Draymond and Klay, I won't say anything negative about. Those guys played their ass off and carried this team throughout the playoffs. Iguodala didn't have the offensive output but had to guard Durant and Lebron back to back.
I think Harrison and Festus will both be gone next year. Bogut probably will stick for another year, unless a blockbuster signing/trade presents itself.
It'll be a really interesting off-season for the Warriors. The core of Curry, Klay and Draymond is locked up. Bogut, Iguodala and Livingston are all signed through next year. The Warriors do have some cap space to add additional pieces but this team will not be the same. Even still with that core, the Warriors are going to be a threat again next year.
Congrats again to the Cavs, and their fans. You guys earned this championship.
Seriously. This has always been our issue with him. Just be happy with your team's accomplishments. Now he's trying to rag on every other team, particularly the Heat.
Basically look at how all of the other Cavs fans on this forum act. Wiggy, do that.
Well said. The man dances to a different beat than old school guys and left or had to leave Cleveland to win his first title and then left the organization that thought him the way and helped get him two titles to go back and do something epic.
Mission accomplished. He did it in terms of how this generation thinks and operates. He did it his way. Many people can't get their arms around that. He is a decent person who gives back and holds his family and friends in high regards.
This win gives him something Jordan never had....a win for the hometown team against an epic opponent, recovering from 3-1, winning game 7 on the road and titles with two different franchises.
He has an ego and does things for him, but he is a helluva a talent and just cemented his legacy with something no one expected. And he is still in his prime. Goat well within his reach.
They said the same thing about Kobe after he won his fifth ring.Lebron is the greatest Evah!
I still can't believe that Cleveland's 50+ year sports curse has finally been lifted.
I'm trying to decide who is coming across as a bigger bitter twat, @TurnUpTheHeat or @yoga≈surfing. Maybe we should have a poll?
When LeBron retires & buys the Heat he can give Michael Beasley a job as a beer vendor in the arena.![]()
No way in hell do you put LeBron ahead of Kobe. JMHO.Eh, Jordan will always be the GOAT. That ship has sailed. Lebron's an all-time talent, no question about that. This was mentioned earlier, but I've updated my top 10 (I usually shuffle 4-7):
1) Jordan
2) Magic
3) Kareem
4) Duncan
5) Lebron
6) Kobe
7) Shaq
8) Wilt
9) Bird
10) Oscar Robertson
yoga. Turnup's never liked the Cavs. Yoga was one of the intolerable Warriors fans on here. The minute they lose, he dumps them as a team. Can't respect that. Ride or die with your team.
100% No Doubt
It's sure looking like another runner up trophy to me.
followed by the runner-up parade, the runner-up banner, and the runner-up ring ceremony to start the season...
oughta get some great press...
and Wiggy bragging about how awesome the Cavs are for not winning a title again.
Those Eastern conference championship rings must look really nice though.
Hope you have that warm and fuzzy feeling this time next month when there is another parade in Cleveland for finishing 2nd place

I'm happy for Cleveland, every city deserves a Championship.I still can't believe that Cleveland's 50+ year sports curse has finally been lifted.

What the fuck are you smoking,dude....who said I "dumped" them??
You guys and your little idiocracy clique is cute....but completely ridiculous.
I can't resist...
I said I usually flip flop. It's really hard to discern between Duncan, Kobe, and Lebron. They've all played against each other in the same generation. They've all accomplished and/or bring something different to the table. Ducan's had the most consistent elite team while winning 5 titles, but doesn't have as many Finals MVPs. Kobe's got 5 rings as well, where he was the elite piece next to Shaq; similar to how Kyrie was to Lebron this series (not saying Kyrie's on Kobe's level). Lebron is an all-around talent that does everything good. For every title he's had, he's won the Finals MVP.
