I think that they were in front and turned over the investigation to an outside agency helped(s) in terms defusing the situation...

"Eugene said he had asked the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) to investigate the shooting, and a spokeswoman for that agency confirmed Thursday morning that it had launched an investigation.

“Bringing in an outside agency shows our commitment to transparency and objectivity in a very sensitive matter,” Eugene said."

I believe that having an outside group investigate these incidences along with body cams would go a long way into ending some of the foolishness on both ends...

I get that a lot of players that cost $0 are better than some All-Stars but from the start they should have been $1. Bc now it is used an advantage especially if you have a lot of dollars left and just get players that cost nothing. I would like to do this same idea for a different sport and maybe have non all-stars worth $1 and minimum of $5 for the bench/backups. I see a lot of very good teams in this draft so we should have some good matchups.

Yeah, I had assumed that 0 meant $1 when we started - but it was clarified as $0, so that's that.

I love you man, but you obviously aren't paying attention. If it's the system that's the problem why aren't we hearing even one case of a cop killing a white person? I mean being there are twice as many whites killed by cops as blacks why do we hear NOTHING about that? Why aren't there white lives matter groups marching down the street screaming pigs in a blanket fry 'em like bacon? Why.... because all the current administration and the media care about is white on black crime, period!

I understand. I have a great respect for defensive basketball. If you look at my team - I have more defense than offense.

PG - Norm Van Lier - If not the best defensive PG in NBA history - he is at least in the conversation.
SG - Dennis Johnson - 6x 1st team all defense (can also play point).
SF - Larry Bird - underrated as a defender - but a very solid defender - especially within a team defense philosophy.
PF - Bobby Jones - 10x 1st team all defense - no one seems to remember him - but may well be the best defensive PF ever. Played with the energy of Rodman; was more disruptive on defense, better on offense, but not as good a rebounder.
C - Bill Russell - Best defensive center ever - and though we don't know how many shots he blocked in his career - he defined what defensive centers were.

PG - Hubert Davis - 3pt specialist and excellent shooter. Not everyone can be a great defender. Though with how many players I have that can play defense, the team should be able to cover up any weaknesses that Davis would show.
SG - Alvin Robertson - NBA single season steals record holder (also 7th, 10th and 12th).
SF - Bruce Bowen - Defensive specialist that can cover PG - SF.
PF - ?
C - ?

That's for sure. The last couple rounds I have been looking for lock down defenders for my bench. I was wondering why they were so hard to find. Now I know. You have been hoarding them all!

I love defensive basketball - there's just nothing like it. Never give a clean shot and clean the boards. Also, @ehb5 taking Chamberlain and Duncan meant that if I wanted to get through the play-in round I had to have something to combat that (since I figured he was most likely the guy I'd be against), but it also needed to be something that would work against others. Suffocating defense will usually work. Problem I always run into in these is that the way I draft isn't sexy - so it's always a question of getting votes.
