@blstoker we didn't lose because of the kick, you also could have posted Robert Smith running out of bounds, we still had a lead when Anderson missed the kick.

It's all I remember about the game - sorry. Just an example that the team should have won that game - and it wasn't just the coaches fault. They should have gone to the Super Bowl.

Side note - no team in the NFL with 15 or more regular season wins has won the Super Bowl since the 1985 Bears.

Just to point out a couple things.

With a lead of I believe 20 - 7 right before half time Denny decides to try and get more points before half time, we turn the ball over and Atlanta scores making the halftime score 20 - 14. YET in a tie game with time running out and the ball near midfield and having the highest scoring team in NFL history he takes a knee to go to OT, knowing the defense is tired and Ed McDaniel just got hurt.

Well, the knee was taken on 3rd down from the own 27 with 0:30 left and with how they were just destroying the Falcons' defense the first half, it's understandable why you'd wanna get some more points before half. Not saying he was perfect - but even with a 5-10 record his last year, he won over 60% of his games as the Vikings coach.

Also, just going by play-by-play recap - I do not remember the game.

Randy Moss

Yeah, he decided on Moss cuz he thought he could turn in the most troubled player into a hall of famer. He didn't have an eye for talent he just didn't care what other people thought. How many Championships did he turn Randy Moss into? For every Randy Moss there are 10 Demitrius Underwoods. Let's also remember he passed on Warren Sapp to take Derrick Alexander. He missed on every first round pick he had in his 10 years aside from Moss.

His Vikings and Cards teams were top 10 talent year in year out

Before halftime its 3rd and 10 at your own 18 yard line with 1:08 remaining in the half up 13 and you drop back to pass? But 3rd and 3 from your own 27 and it's time to take a knee? Why not just send Randy deep?

Why not give Marshawn Lynch the ball to score the winning touchdown... Oh wrong discussion... :sherm:

Top 10 talent kinda proves my point of how bad a coach he was. Playoff record 4 - 8. Should be 3 - 8 the 1997 win over the Giants was a fluke. The 1993 loss to the Giants was totally Denny's fault as well. I won't even mention the 2000 NFC Championship game...

I almost brought that up - but Nos would have just pointed out that we'd won the championship the year before so not the same. Nos reminds me of a lot of pre-2012 Seahawk fans.

I don't even know why I'm defending him - maybe I'm just bored. I can just imagine what you think of every other Minnesota coach outside Bud Grant :)

Did I say not spend money or did I say have multiple $0 players on their bench?

Let's be honest....

There are plenty of $0 players better than many of the $1 players. There quite a few guys who got snubbed multiple times, and more like Eaton and Battier who are just high quality role players and never made it. Somehow, they are worse that a player like Kyle Korver who happened to have the stars align during his career year?

Don't get me wrong, Korver is a good role player, but I hope people don't really think that 1 or even 2 allstar appearances automatically makes a player better.

I agree. I was also looking at the list of players with 1 all-star appearance and saw many players better than players who had 2 all-star appearances or 3 and it is like that through the whole list.

Dead men can't speak... :tape: But if they could I would tell them offering me the guy I wanted at a higher price is not what made him such a priority... :brick:
