I figure this to be a high scoring affair with Leiter and Roark throwing. Plenty of Banana Bread beer to handle that. :suds:

Prediction--either Werth hits a slam or strikes out, while swinging so hard he drops to a knee

I don't recall that guy. Was he with us for two days?
Actually never played for us. Was drafted by the Phils and had a couple good years in the minors and the Phillies traded him. He played 4 awful partial seasons in the majors with Oakland.
It turned out to be a good trade for the Phillies. We gave up Taylor, Travis D'Arnaud and Kyle Drabek and got a guy named Roy Halladay---you now know ...the rest of the story.

BTW I think Mack needs to mix up the righties and lefties in the lineup for these September games. These teams keep bringing in these specialty relievers to get 2 rh or lh batters in a row. At least make it a little hard for them (that's what she said)

Wow, that was in the olden days, 2007. When I was just a teenager.

yeah, it seems like forever. On a side note, Travis has been starting catcher for the Mets all year and Halladay has been retired for years. Maybe we got fleeced on that deal

True, but some guys like Herrera hit righties as well as lefties. I haven't checked any other splits. Mac may figure it out by April.
