Yeah, I went to sleep when Arizona went up 8-2. I tried, but I was struggling up until that point. Strasburg is infuriating. We just have to look at him as a #5 starter at this point. A hit or miss guy who can be really on when he's hit, and off when he's a miss. As #5 starters go, he's not bad.

He's gotta be hurt. If he fails to make the 5th inning next start they need to send his ass to the DL to get right

I have couple of issues with this inning. So Inciarte gets a single, that's fine. Then a 4 pitch walk to Trumbo in front of Goldschmidt? Yeah, that can't happen. Trumbo is a fine ballplayer, but Goldy is a badass...don't put runners on in front of him. I know Gio didn't do it on purpose, but come on, man. Put some pitches in the damn zone. If he gets on anyway, at least he earns it.

The Goldy double, that happens. Like I said, he's a badass. I'm not gonna cry over an excellent hitter hitting excellently. But why was the infield in with Goldy on 3rd and 1 out? Hellickson's got a 6.something era. Do we think we aren't going to score anymore? I mean, Desi still should have made the play, but they made it harder on him for no apparent reason. I don't get it.

To answer your question, I have zero idea why the infield was in that early in the game with only a 1 run deficit. Matty does silly stuff sometimes

Why don't home plate umps check with the 1st/3rd base umps more often when check swings are that close
