Span is 5 for 5, Nats have 9 runs.. coincidence? i think not. I dont agree with some stuff FP says, but he's dead on that Span is the most important piece to our lineup. He gets on base, we win more than we lose.

Out of all the Nat killers in the world, i really feel McCutchen is in the top 2 (with Giancarlo)... he's killin the Nats to the tune of: .395 avg/.458 OBP/.825 slugging/1.283 OPS in 131 plate appearances.

I like Detwiler. I think he's a good starting pitcher that is having trouble adjusting to the bullpen. I don't, however, understand how you could put him in a close game right now. It's not fair to him or his teammates. I just don't get it.
