FP. It is not "technically the right call". You read the rule correctly, but watch McLouth. He was clearly transferring the ball. That is an out. All day, every day. You do not have to successfully transfer the ball, but the act of transferring is what concludes the catch.

I wanted Jordan gone much earlier in the inning. Kudos to him, though, for getting out of it with minimal damage. To be fair to him, he's got nothing tonight. All his pitches are up, and the Braves don't seem to have missed many of them. To "only" give up 5 is as good as he could have asked for, I think.
