Is it just me, or does this knew pre-pitch stance from Span seem stupid? He seems like he's not balanced as he quickly shifts right before he swings. Don't like it. Have never understood guys using some gimmicky stance.

Haha, no, I always think of him more as a California laid-back kinda thing. There is no reason for this, as he's from Texas, so a Texas accent makes sense.

Ian didn't run, but I think he was saying that was catcher's interference on the swing. Couldn't tell from the replay if it was or not, but that looked like what he was arguing. We'll see when they come back from commercial.

Nope, he tried to call timeout late, and the umpire didn't grant it. Ian with an error and a tough play at the plate so far today in the first couple of innings. I gotta say, I think the ump was right to not call timeout...just called for it too late. Need to run that out regardless, can't just let 'em turn an easy double play.
