I don't think anybody's said anything about this here yet, but McLouth is done for the season with his shoulder injury.

Any of you ever heard Andy Pollin talk about baseball on the radio? It is comical/horrendous. Somehow he thinks he knows how sports work simply because he can remember a bunch of stuff from previous years. Listening to him talk about the actual workings of baseball, or any sport for that matter, is an exercise in generalizations and misuse of stats.

Example? Ok. This morning he's talking about how well the Nats are doing despite some of the faces of the franchise not performing up to standard. Ok, I can get on board with that...but the example he chose? Comparing Strasburg to Kershaw: "He's not Kershaw, he's only 10-10!"

For the love of god, Andy, there are so many ways that Strasburg is not Kershaw, yet you choose the one area that doesn't prove it? I know it will never happen, but I really wish they'd kill the pitcher's win/loss stat. It is dangerous ammo in the hands of fools.

Haha I don't listen to the radio. Maybe once in a blue moon I'll turn on 106.7 the fan after a Skins game to hear the overreactions. I've been on board for killing the pitchers W for 5 years now. The best is when a closer blows a save, then his offense scores a run and he gets the win

I am a masochist, apparently. I listen to Czabe in the morning on Yahoo (I love Czabe), then switch over to espn980 at 10. It's usually Kornheiser, but he goes on summer sabbaticals and has a bunch of people fill in for him. Andy is by far the worst. The only time I listen to 106.7 is if the Nats or Caps game is on and I can't watch on TV. I hate the folks on that station with the power of a thousand suns. Well, not the Junkies, but I like Czabe better so they lose out.
