Considering y'all got off to a 2-10 start, it is hard to believe you're only 5 1/2 back.

Every year for the last several years we end up going on a long stretch of well-above .500 ball because we tend to have solid pitching. This year I just don't see us competing over 162 games unless Quentin gets/stays hot and we can plug in a Porcello-type and eliminate the dismal 5th spot in the rotation. The Padres really better get it done now or we're going to lose Headley sooner than later and there's no good replacement for him at 3rd in our system.

It will be tough for the Pads this year cause the NL West seems stacked. But you never know. No one thought the O's or A's could compete for 162 games last year.

Well, shit! The terrible controls on MLB.tv messed up when I hit fast forward to go thru the first commercial and it jumped all the way to live. So I didn't see what happened in the first. Dammit!!!
