i have a dilemma here, as i figure a lot of others do to. if you're a fan of a school like bama, michigan, usc, notre dame, tosu and texas that over a hundred years of competition. with great players throughout. i can give my favorite players list, but who's to say if they're "The Best"! my list, is an actual list, not just 2 or 3.
johnny musso, derrick thomas, shaun alexander, cornelius bennett, jay barker, david palmer, javier arenas, julio jones, john hannah, ken stabler, a j mccarron and this goes on n on n on
For overall career (both college and pro)
1. Tom Brady
2. Jake Long
3. Charles Woodson
brady needs an asterik
Suh is a dirty player. He's good but he's mean.
Fine choices to be sure. However, I'll go with1. Joe Montana
2. Leon Hart
3. Tim Brown
He wasn’t in college. I guess that’s what playing for the shitty Lions does to a person.

Page is a great pick. He is my quintessential example of everything that can be good about college athletics.Alan Page
Raghib Ismael
Brady Quinn
Fine choices to be sure. However, I'll go with
- George Gipp
- Johnny Lujack
- Raghib Ismael
For me, it's easy to pick Lujack. He was a two-way player (as they all were back then), won a Heisman, and won a couple of Nattys. While Quinn was a good college player to be sure, he had more games in which to amass numbers and wasn't as dominant a force in the game since he only played offense.I almost put Lujack over Quinn. But hard to pass on the career stat leader in the most important position at the school.
You left out one of the greatest players in Iowa football history ... shame on you !!!(1) RB/QB/DB Nile Kinnick, 1939 (Heisman Winner)
(2) DT Alex Karras, 1957 (Heisman runner up)
(3) QB Chuck Long, 1985 (Heisman runner up)
(4) TE Dallas Clark, 2002 (John Mackey winner)
(5) OG Calvin Jones, 1955 (Outland Trophy winner, 10th in Heisman as OL)
(6) OT Robert Gallery, 2003 (Outland Trophy winner)
(7) K Nate Kaeding, 2003 (Lou Groza winner)
(8) SS Bob Sanders, 2003
(9) RB Shonn Greene, 2008 (Doak Walker winner, 6th in Heisman)
(10) LB Larry Station, 1985
