Neither had I. I was just fortunate enough to catch an announcement about it. Headed to the search engine and bam. You'd think the SC deciding on who ends up with ownership of half a state would be of pretty big interest. If not to the average citizen than at least to a 24/7 news cable show. Not really though it appears.
my understanding is that its federal property

I'm fine with Red Wolves (really gaining momentum); prefer Red Hawks (the jets look way cool and the name's cool). Warriors is now sounding kinda blah. Actually, Justice sounds good to me, but it doesn't roll off the tongue like the others do.

SCOTUS awarding half the state of Oklahoma to native american peoples is a big deal. That is a lot of land. I think states are going to have to pay more attention to treaties that were written long ago and have largely been ignored. It also effectively makes state law enforcement mute for Indian reservations. Will be interesting to see what happens.

That raises the question - what happens to convictions for crimes decided by state courts that occurred inside Indian reservations? Are "criminals" now free to go?

Redwolves the Clubhouse Leader?

Not a bad logo. I still like Warriors with the spear logo. If they are not going after Florida State they wont go after us about the logo.

Warriors or nothing for me. I'm not for the DC area. I have no connection to some random football team from DC. If you take away the history, it's not the same team.

Sounds like they're moving on from anything Indian related - including the logo. No spears.

Romans and Spartans fought with spears. Not only Indians.

I'm not making a value judgment - just telling you that there won't be spears - from everything I hear - whether it's right, wrong or indifferent.
