rafa probably the frontrunner, but i doubt nole put a lot of effort in

he's got his career slam, and is probably treating all of the clay season (french included) as an extended summer warm up

same with fed if he even shows up at the french.

The only threat for Rafa is in a best of five he might run into an Soderling-like-underling at the best of five format at RG. He is older now with more mileage, and also will have played every single tournament (and won all of them), so he could be mentally and somewhat physically drained and this could be exploited by some young gun at an early round, otherwise if he reaches semis he is a shoo in for the title.

I've been saying the same thing. I've been rooting for him to win either Rome or Monte Carlo since 2009.

Given his age this year, I'd have been fine with entering just one of those tourneys.
