This is really small and basically irrelevant but I don't see anyway the SoCon champ can be seeded that highly. I know Wofford beat NC State but they've got really bad losses also. I just don't see it. It's a really good list though

Actually I have Boise just outside the tourney right now but they are certainly in contention. I probably would have had them in up til Sunday when Oregon beat Utah

Cincy has lost 3 out of their last 4 - Tulane was one and they lost to East Carolina. Weak schedule and bad losses.

Georgia has beatin absolutely no one and has lost 4 out of their last 7. A&M hasn't really beatin anyone either and also has had a weak schedule. Aside from Kentucky, the SEC is pretty bad IMO. Ole Miss just beat Tennessee by 2 at home.

Cincy, Georgia should definitely be BEHIND Illinois. :) Illinois has no bad losses and played a difficult schedule. Baylor, Miami, Villanova, Oregon - non-conference. Go look at A&M and Georgia's non-conference schedules.

Other than that it looks pretty good.

Wofford has an RPI of 53. Out of the 1 bid leagues that is fantastic. They really only have one truly bad loss. They also have two top 50 RPI wins. The committee isn't seeding the conference, it's seeding the AQ from that conference. If Wofford wins the league they will be in that 12/13 range. I'd be stunned if they were on the 14 line. If Chattanooga wins the league I could see them possibly being a 14. Everybody else would more than likely be a 16.

While Cincy has lost 3 of 4, they have 5 top 50 wins. That is very strong for bubble teams. Also, Cincy and Illinois have basically the same SoS, and that's with Cincy playing in a very weak conference. Cincy had a much tougher Non Conf. SoS.

And Illinois has lost to Nebraska and Minnesota, I would constitute those as bad losses.

Honestly, from a resume standpoint, there isn't much separation among the 3. I would have Illinois last among the group of teams you mentioned though.

Let's talk more about weak schedules.

Colorado St. ?? 4th in their conference, cake walk non-conference schedule

And doesn't it seem every other year the Zags beat up on their conference and fairly easy non-conference schedule only to get beat in the 2nd round of the tourney? How they continue to pull off a #1 seed is just beyond me. Sure great record, but man.. Beat somebody not hovering around #25!

All but one of Cincy's "top 50" wins have been in that weak conference man. And Cincy lost to Nebraska, which I don't consider a bad loss. East Carolina and Tulane = bad loss. Nebraska at home has been fits for everyone until last weekend. Minny is no slouch at home either.

Cincy has a tougher Non Conf SoS = Nebraska, NC State, SDSU, VCA, and Ole Miss?

Illinois had Baylor, Villanova, Oregon, Mizzou all at neutral sites + @ Miami.

Cincy's was much tougher? Nova has been in the top 10 all year. Mizzou is awful. SDSU is overrated and so is Ole Miss. Much tougher my ass.

Gonzaga played a top 20 Non Conf. SOS, I wouldn't call that an easy non-conference SoS.

Two years ago when they were a #1 seed, they played a top 50 non-conference SoS.

They can't help that there conference affiliation isn't the greatest.

Gonzaga played 1 team in the top 20 and lost. They've beatin a few teams hovering around #25 and their conference schedule.

I'm with ya. Think we have to win our last 4, one @SDSU, and finish top 3 in the MW tourney to get a serious look.

Yes it is a WEAK conference. SMU(who they swept) is good, top 25ish, and single digit seed good. SDSU is also single digit seed good. They also have beaten Temple, who's IN the field for now, and NC State who's right on the bubble. But that doesn't mean the conference is good, because it isn't.

And yes, they played a significantly better non conference schedule than Illinois did.

Cincy's Non Conf SOS = 20
Illinois' Non Conf SOS = 171

Yes Illinois played Nova, that's a great OOC game. But Oregon is a bubble team, Miami is a little worse than that even. Baylor is a good game OOC as well. Mizzou fucking sucks.

Nebraska is a bad loss, they aren't even going to make the NIT this year. That's bad.
