Maybe we can work a trade. Their 1st round third stringer for our 1st round third stringer. T

What stats? Who's opinions? Can you point me to their latest analysis?

18th in passer rating, bottom 10 in INTs, 19th in QBR, 21st in ANY/A, 24th in Y/A. Thats a starting point. Then you can look at things like watching him play where he is consistently inconsistent with just about everything. @Cianaf has pointed out where he struggles several times. Even Manny has plenty of criticisms. Then you can factor in things like Romo being hurt so hes not involved in those stats and then look at why the hell is Cam Newton behind Kirk in QBR and consider things like that.

Oh I looked at the link. And what it shows is that the MAJORITY of your starting QBs are making $16 million and up per year. Brady is the outlier.. and thats because he took a pay CUT to help out the team. The market is what it is, and most of the guys making less than that are either

1. Not starters
2. Guys still in their rookie deals.

And the guys making that much are either overpaid or better than Kirk.

How come you didn't mention any of his better stats? Never mind, I know the answer. So what do you suggest the team do? Anyone can bitch, what is your suggestion to improve the position.

Yeah, I saw this response and I just chuckled. He complained about cherry picking stats to shark in an earlier post. I realized that this debate was no longer worth my effort. He pleads innocent when questioned about his disdain for KC but can only offer this as his reasoning for why KC is one of the worst QBs in the league. clearly there are other motivators at work here.

You asked me what stats led me to my belief. You asked that question. Do you not remember that orrr? Cmon now I know you're smarter than this bud.

there may be 18 qbs better then KC but my question is are they available and at what cost ?

what future do we have at qb with the 34 yr old matt schaub , the 33 yr old fitzpatrick , the 29 yr old mccoy or the 28 yr old walking IR player . i dont see any plan but a one year division title shot which i doubt any one of them could deliver

chase daniel must be some kind of sick joke does he even have a career start? yet he is a better option ?

so you believe that KC should be paid less then 21st at his position and you would let him walk for mccoy ? really ? mccoy should be in the CFL and probably would if it werent for our team

i will tell you an option at qb how about kaepernick ? he sounds better then any of those pathetic retreads you are trotting out
what next ryan mallet or e.j manuel ? christian ponder ? blaine gabbert ? geno smith ? brian hoyer ?

what about the other players on the skins lets sign a retread and draft then unknown wonderkind wentz , or lynch in the draft ? hackenburg is lighting it up connor cook , another out of the MSU chain that has brought you hoyer , and yes KC and their careers go to shit ?

and all of this because god forbid we pay a guy who is on pace for 4000 yds passing 25 tds and 16 picks is gawd awful ?

so what i want to see is the top 18 starter you think we should sign for less then 15-17 mil

I think you're misunderstanding what I'm saying. Obviously those guys I named aren't more than a stop gap. I get that. My point is there is a limit to Kirk's value. If we go past that limit I'd rather find a stopgap on the cheap until we find our franchise QB.

So basically fuck it... any one other than Kirk unless he some how pulls off a miracle over the next 6 games?? And you say I was fucked up by RG3s failure. :gaah:

Just curious....where does KC max out? Let's say that Cleveland, for example, offers him somewhere between 18 and 20 mil with guarantees and a hefty signing bonus. Does this team match? Guarantee that there's going to be some competition for his services. Almost all of it well over what he gives in return (based on what he has done on balance so far)

First off, if Kirk is getting that kind of offer from any one, odds are he exceeded all the haters expectations. Secondly if he did that, and this team lets him hit the open market, one would seriously have to doubt the sanity of the front office.

But saying he does get that kind of offer, it depends on WHAT our options are. IM going to call a spade a spade. I realize some of the fan base secretly hopes Kirk fails. I also realize most of those people are the same ones who felt Griffin should have been starting.

But considering some of the deals we have seen for QBs the past few years, I say Kirk Maxes out at around $19 mill a year unless he does something extremely special with the rest of the season. BUt I also think that if he continues to improve and play solid to good, the lowest we get him for is the $15.5 million a year mark.

We all seem to forget Matt Flynn got $9 million a year based on ONE start. Not saying it was a good deal. I am saying that the market for a guy who you are bringing in to be your starter is quit a bit higher than backup or rookie money.

Why would anybody be rooting against him? You know that just because people don't agree with you they aren't automatically haters?

The Flynn deal is a good example of a QB getting more on the market than he's worth though. Bad contract. That's all I'm trying to avoid guys - a bad contract. Somehow this makes me a crazy person who hates kirk cousins.

I dont know, I was hoping one of you would just come out and tell us why you hope he fails?? I have an idea of why, mainly from what i have actually heard from some supposed fans at games this year. But since every one here is generally posting in PC mode, I doubt I get those kinds of bold admissions.

Look I don't know what to tell you. I think it's sad that those people (apparently) exist. I think it's sad you think I'm one of them. I just want to be able to come on here and tall redskins football with fellow fans since I don't live by many and get that opportunity. I love this team way too much to root against anyone on the roster. You really think I'd come on here and post 1400 times about a team I want to fail. I mean im clearly not a troll. I have thought out my opinions and defend them. It's sad that I can come on this site to try and talk redskins football and be accused of rooting against my team just because I don't agree on how good 1 player on our roster is. Whether that's you're fault for being that closed minded or other people's (who as you say apparently want KC and this team to fail - idk I've never met them) who have made you think that way I don't know.

First i never said you or these fans that i have met want the TEAM to fail. But lets be honest, it is quite possible to be a fan of the team and yet NOT a fan of the player. And yes I have seen that quite a few times. And its rather simple actually. If you think a player is either

1. Holding the team back
2. Preventing a player you actually think is better from getting playing time.

So do I doubt your fanship of the team?? Not at all. But yes I do think you are not a fan of the player and would sooner see him replaced unless he does something to earn your loyalty.

See I can openly admit I cant stand RG3. I was against the trade at first because I knew deep down it would hurt the team. I came to dislike him as a player when he began to hurt the team as a player with his actions and words. So yes I will be happy as soon as he is gone.

Not so hard, I want the player gone but I dont think any one here doubts my loyalty to the team.
