Huh... Looks like Navy came to fight against the Buckeyes. Yes Ohio State won, but their game wasn't the bust I thought it would be. Again, it's too early for predictions, but let's just say the Virginia Tech game next week will be telling.

In the first half, it looked like Arkansas was on par with Auburn. But then late in the 3rd quarter, Arkansas went "ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ..." and that was the end of that.

Beyond that, I thought it was good that the Seminoles got tested early on, and I think O.K State will be WAY more confident entering Big 12 play with the effort they showed last night.

7. Utah State @ Tennessee [7:00 Sunday, SEC Network] (Knoxville fans are on edge for this reason: Odds-makers see Utah St. as only a 5-point underdog on the road against Tennessee. Well, I have the Vols winning... by 5 points or less).

Week 1 recap

With Week 1 of the 2014 season now over, let's find out what we learned so far:

1. The SEC (minus Florida [who got rained out] and Vanderbilt [who got crushed]) has shown us they're still the strongest conference in all the land.

2. North Dakota State is back to being the big favorite to win another FCS title.

3. The UCLA defense is ready to carry the Bruins if need be.

And finally, ESPN is already panicking about the college football playoff at the end of the year... and it's only going to get worse from here.

As for the best games of the week, I already posted them on this thread with the #1 spot going to Florida State vs. Oklahoma State. With that, I move on to a new thread in 2 days!
