my mock draft

here are the ground rules for me , first i dont do trade ups or downs , its just a straight pick by pick as we stand now

1) chase young DE OSU , probably the best player in this draft and quite frankly a no brainer . if we trade down we will lose him but as i have said eother way its a win/win

3) lucas Niang OT TCU i went OT here because at this point this and TE are the primary needs . if you wish to argue to as the greater need you have a case but to me that LT is important

4) adam trautman TE good all around Te who should be a dependable blocker and receiver haskins can lean on

4)michael pittman wr a good place for wr . should push quinn off the roster

5) trey adams OT if it werent for injuries this kid could have been a 1st rounder worth a flyer here

7) jeremy chinn S kind of a simmons light . has good traits , could be a nice chess piece

7) stephen taylor OT this is a project guy for sure but he has size and some talent

yes 3 OT's is a lot but hopefully one sticks as a quality starter , i think trautman can be a starter for us someday . pittman is a quality pick in round 4

focus on positions in 3-7 not the names , thoughts

I don't think Trautman is there in the 4th. We will be lucky if he is there in the 3rd. I don't think Pitman is there either. Chinn has been rocketing up draft boards since the combine. How is he there in the 7th?

Probably not but remember when Harmon wouldn’t be there in 3rd.

Heavy on the OT, could be a real steal in there where you went OT x2 & x3. I believe Cornelius was signed and while I definitely like Niang in round 3, I'm hoping he can be a starter? RR's calling card seems to be versatility so look for swiss army knife type player with one of our 4th rounders or we trade two 7th rounders for a 6th rounder and take SAK type player there.
