1. Colts- Andrew Luck QB 6'4" 234 Stanford
The Colts are the luckiest Franchise in NFL History!
2. Redskins- Robert Griffin III QB 6'2⅜" 231 Baylor
The Redskins won't have another 1st Round pick until 2015. Even if Griffin is Cam Newton 2.0 they've dug themselves a deep hole.
3. Dolphins(trade w/Vikings) - Ryan Tannehill QB 6'3⅞" 221 Texas A&M
Missing out on Manning and Flynn make the Dolphins panic and make an offer the Vikings can't refuse.
4. Browns- Trent Richardson RB 5'9¼" 228 Alabama
Richardson is the type of player upon which you can build a franchise around and for the first time since the Browns returned to the NFL there is hope in C-town.
5. Buccaneers- Matt Kalil OT 6'6⅝" 306 USC
Though the Bucs have a Pro Bowl LT in Donald Penn they also have one of the worst O-linemen in the League in Jeremy Trueblood on the right side. Selecting Kalil and moving Penn to the RT would make their line elite.
6. Rams- Justin Blackmon WR 6'0⅞" 207 Oklahoma State
One of the best move in the draft. The Rams trade back, gets a boatload of additional picks, and still gets the player they wanted all along.
7. Jaguars- Melvin Ingram DE 6'1½" 264 South Carolina
Though the Jags re-signed Jeremy Mincey (8 sacks) their DE's are still weak and Ingram goes a long way to fixing that problem.
8. Vikings (trade w/ Dolphins)- Morris Claiborne CB 5'11⅛" 188 LSU
Wow! Talk about a gamble. The Vikings trade back and still get the highest rated player on their board.
9. Panthers- Fletcher Cox DT 6'4" 298 Mississippi State
Former defensive coordinator Ron Rivera takes the hottest defensive prospect in the draft.
10. Bills- Cordy Glenn OG 6'5¾" 345 Georgia
This started off as a rumor but with the persistent chatter and recent comments by Doug Whaley the Bills assistant GM/director of player personnel this looks like a real possibility. "For us, a guy of that size and that type of foot athlete, you'd try him out at left tackle..... He's got a chance to play there and produce at a high level".
11. Chiefs-David DeCastro OG 6'4⅞" 316 Stanford
This pick comes down to DeCastro and Dontari Poe. Despite spending a 2nd Rd pick on OG Rodney Hudson last season and the need of a Nose tackle for their 3-4 Defense they decide to go with DeCastro moving Hudson to Center solidifying their O-line.
12. Seahawks- Luke Kuechly ILB 6'3¼" 242 Boston College
With the departure of both Lofa Tatupu and David Hawthorne the selection of Kuechly represents draft need meeting best player available.
13. Cardinals- Riley Reiff OT 6'5¾" 313 Iowa
The Cardinals are thrilled to see the player they wanted all along fall to them.
14. Cowboys- Mark Barron S 6'1" 213 Alabama
The Cowboys shored up the CB position in Free Agency with the signing of Brandon Carr now they turn their attention to the back-end of their secondary and select one of the most underrated players in the draft.
15. Eagles- Michael Brockers DT 6'5" 322 LSU
The Eagles are built for a Super Bowl run the only piece missing is a stud DT.
16. Jets- Chandler Jones OLB 6'5" 247 Syracuse
The Jets as a team only garnered 35 sacks with the team being lead by David Harris who only had 5.0 sacks. An upgrade is desperately needed.
17. Bengals- Michael Floyd WR 6'2⅝" 220 Notre Dame
The Bengals are overjoyed to have the player they wanted fall to them.
18. Chargers- Shea McClellin OLB 6'3⅜" 260 Boise State
The Chargers start the run on the best remaining defensive players.
19. Bears- Quinton Coples DE 6'5¾" 284 North Carolina
The Bears stop the former Tar Heels slide while adding a valuable addition to their D-line. Coples is versatile enough to play inside or out in Chicago’s “Tampa 2” defense as his best years at North Carolina were playing inside at DT.
20. Titans- Stephon Gilmore CB 6'0½" 190 South Carolina
Losing Cortland Finnegan really hurt the Titans and now they'll be forced to reach for Gilmore in an attempt to replace their former All-Pro CB.
21. Bengals- Dont'a Hightower ILB 6'2¼" 265 Alabama
Hightower may be long gone at this pick as he is now the 13th ranked player overall on Scouts Inc's Big Board.
22. Browns- Jonathan Martin OT 6'5⅜" 312 Stanford
Mike Holmgren is building this team the way a team is supposed to be built from the inside out. Last year he hit on DT Phil Taylor and this year it'll be Jonathan Martin.
23. Lions- Dre Kirkpatrick CB 6'1⅝" 185 Alabama
Overall the Lions are a solid team with the only exception being their secondary.
24. Steelers- Dontari Poe NT 6'3½" 346 Memphis
The Steelers are thrilled that Casey Hampton's heir apparent is still available.
25. Broncos- Jerel Worthy DT 6'2⅜" 309 Michigan State
The Broncos' starting DT's Ty Warren and Kevin Vickerson finished 2011 on injured reserve. It's time for an upgrade.
26. Texans- Kendall Wright WR 5'10¼" 196 Baylor
The Texans have to find another weapon to take pressure off and eventually replace the aging Andre Johnson and decide to go with the in State dynamo from Baylor.
27. Patriots- Courtney Upshaw OLB 6'1⅝" 272 Alabama
The phrase of the Day in the Patriot's War Room on April 26th? Pass rushers..... pass rushers..... pass rushers!
28. Packers- Whitney Mercilus OLB 6'3⅝" 261 Illinois
The Packers in desperate need of another pass rusher select the former Illinois standout to pair with Clay Matthews Jr's long-haired baby boy.
29. Ravens- Stephen Hill WR 6'4" 215 Georgia Tech
The Ravens were one Lee Evans dropped pass from reaching the Super Bowl last season. They decide to stretch one more year out of their aging defense in the hopes giving Flacco one morre weapon in the hopes of getting them over the top.
30. 49ers- Peter Konz OC/OG 6'5" 314 Wisconsin
Could start off at RG before eventually replace Jonathan Goodwin at center.
31. Patriots- Janoris Jenkins CB 5'10" 193 North Alabama
For far too long the Patriots have gotten by on retreads on defense while concentrating their attention and dollars on their prolific offensive and it cost them two Super Bowls to the Giants. The Pats have a strong enough locker room to give guidance and structure to this talented but troubled player.
32. New York Giants- Coby Fleener TE 6'6" 247 Stanford
I keep going back and forth with this pick. I can honestly see them selecting a RB with this pick but with the re-emergence of the TE (Gronkowski, Graham, Witten, etc...) as a weapon I'm going with Fleener as the Giants add another weapon to Eli's arsenal.
