Pops - read this tomorrow when your hangover is gone. Nebraska has tremendously fast and talented young playmakers. It takes a couple games until you see them adjust to college game speed. More than a few of our young players showed good things tonight. You say they aren't good and I beg to differ with you. This is the second game of the year so cut them some slack. California blasted Fresno last week, but Cali only beat Colorado by 3pts in OT. We are talking fucking Colorado here. Colorado is the team that got blasted by Hawaii. Fresno simply played a great game and Nebraska still managed to find a way to win. How? Big plays, adjustments, and finishing strong. We will not win every week by 40 points. PAX

I noticed that we had very little pressure on the qb tonight compared to what I've gotten spoiled from seeing the past two years. Fresno's offensive line held our front 4 and blitzes in check pretty well. I was drinking during the game but I dont think I saw any sacks.

Pelini & co certainly have their work cut out for them heading into the grudge match against Washington.

I was sober during the game, and still no sacks. it was like the D-line thought they could just show up and dominate. it doesn't work that way. as much as i wanted to see Carr smeared all over the field after what he was saying, he turned out to be right. I saw him get hit ONCE after he got rid of the ball (for a completion, by the way) and our highly touted D-line looked bad. i know they have the talent, and I am sure Bo and co. will make adjustments. we will get things together on D, but they did not look good tonight.

I think our team has a lot of potential, but it may take practically the whole season for things to gel though. How much this team gels is anyone's guess.

If we blow everyone out goin into the Conference play we dont know where our weaknesses are until its too late.

We won and that is what counts at the end of the season.

Ask Iowa, Minn, Pur, and the rest. Margin of victory doesnt mean shit to me.Wins and losses do.
