I think Kelly is the safest pick for us and will provide immediate impact from Day 1. Just look back to when Dallas selected Fredrick and everybody was laughing at them. The joke was on all of us. Fredrick solidified their oline and is one of their best olineman right now. Kelly who has a better draft grade than Fredrick would finally give us stability at center. Plus it would protect the franchise in KC and make huge improvements in the running game. It just makes too much sense on all levels to draft this guy.

People on here want to draft a dlineman @21. I can see their point that its a huge need. But the dline is the deepest position in this draft so a lot of talent will get pushed to round 2. So why not wait on dline to the 2nd round? Guys likes Johnson, Hargrave, Dodd, Clark, Nke, Jones, and Bullard. One of these guys will be available @ 53.

Now some people on here think Martin is just as good as Kelly. Ok if that is true and im not saying that is true why take the risk to see if he is even going to be there @53. If teams like him better than Kelly than there should be no way he would be there at pick 53. After those top two centers there is a huge drop off of plug and play centers.

I think this is the best strategy to approach this draft. We have to take advantage of the dline depth in this class. I am assuming that Doctson, Joseph, and Ragland are all off the board before the 21st pick. IN the latest draft rumors Dotson and Joseph are rising up boards and Ragland is falling.

NFL Media draft analyst Lance Zierlein believes Alabama C Ryan Kelly will be a first-rounder.

Zierlein actually has been grading Kelly as a second-rounder throughout the process, but he thinks the lack of center depth in this draft class could elevate Kelly to first-round glory. "Kelly is clearly the best center in this draft and teams realize there will be a big drop in quality after him at that position. Because of this, his value is skyrocketing and he should land in the first round," the analyst wrote. Zierlein colleague Gil Brandt sees the 6-foot-5, 296-pound center as a potential plug-and-play rookie.

Think about it for a moment. You just admitted he isn't a first round talent.

I never said that. He is a first round talent. It just makes sense to get the dl prospect in the 2nd round.

You posted an "expert" stating he was graded as a second rounder but because this is a weak center class, he will move him up. So this guy is admitting he isn't worth a first rounder based on talent...let alone our pick.

That is just this guys opinion. I can get three more guys to say he is a first round talent.

That is your problem. You are trying to cherry pick what a guy says. You wanted us to see your point about a weak C class but added in the weakness of your argument.

Show me the three other guys who think he is a first round talent.

Kiper, Mcsay and almost all the nfl network analyst. One had him as high to the Lions. I think they are in the teens.

And here is a nice easy link to eight mock drafts... not a single one has Kelly going in the first round period.

2016 NFL Mock Draft Central - NFL.com

Explain??

I will also note that all eight have us taking either D-line or WR... Imagine that.

Jermaih had him as a top 20 player in the draft. brandt had him 25.

Scouts Inc doesn't have him in the top 32.
Draftek-37
Walter-not in the top 50

NFL.com has him graded at tied for 48.

See...I can pick out so called experts too.

So a two down run stuffer is more important than to protect KC and improve the running game? I already gave you four guys, Jermaihm, Brandt, Kiper, and Mchshay that rank him as a first round talent.

Dude...seriously...you have already stated they had him ranked high. I didn't dispute that.

So why are you disputing that he is not a first round player or talent?

Let me say this... if 20% of the population thinks some one is a 1st rounder, but 80% does not..... usually the 20% opinion is considered a reach. Again dude, you are willing to reach on this guy because you see center as our biggest need. But over drafting a guy because its your biggest need and passing up on guys who are considered better talents is questionable at best.
